DD arrived at my Dallas area dealer this week (3/19 or 3/20) taking delivery tomorrow....FINALLY!

Here is my order sequence:
2/4/2014 Order placed
2/11/2014 Production scheduled
3/4/2014 Paint
3/7/2014 Vehicle shipped (email received from Dodge)
3/19/2014 Vehicle arrived at dealer
3/22/2014 Vehicle delivered to it's new owner (my wife)

About 6 1/2 weeks which is about two weeks longer than I expected or would have preferred. Advice to everyone considering placing a factory order, compromise and buy something already built. Waiting six+ weeks really sucked.

After seven weeks waiting: took delivery last night

The Deep Cherry Red is GORGEOUS. My wife is happy!

I just joined the forum after reading about buyers experiences with ordering a new Durango. After looking at them for almost 2 yrs, I finally ordered mine on 3/3. I received my first email confirming my order on 3/7. The system said production scheduled that day. My second email came on 3/12 which told me my status was production scheduled and my next update could be up to two weeks away while the production line is prepared for assembly. I haven't heard anything else. This is my first experience ordering a vehicle. I appreciate hearing others experiences. I ordered a citadel in deep cherry red and I'm very glad to get to see the pictures of the ones that have been received already.

The status updates on my Limited are below. It was unloaded from the train yesterday, and the dealership just called this afternoon after getting it off the truck. I had window tint included in my deal, and will head over in a couple of days to pick it up. Super excited. Time between order and delivery was almost exactly 6 weeks. However, I had to wait nearly 3 weeks to order it due to a parts shortage.

I'm getting on a plane back to the US in about 18 hours and by noon on Friday I should be driving my Durango away from Lee Auto Mall in Westbrook, ME!

I put my order in 3 weeks ago, so I'm starting to get eager...

We can't use the VOTS for Canadian orders, and I haven't paid for a membership at Jeep Garage to have them track it.

Using the Google chrome scraper, I see the highest VINs in transit are 484116 (Durango) and 491247 (JGC).

I know that Frank's entered the Factory yesterday, and an SRT (#4944xx) was scheduled for today. That SRT was ordered the same day as mine, but the VIN is over 7000 ahead.

They're building about 1200 a day right now, and since customer orders go in first, I figure mine could get into the factory sometime next week.

I'm sure I'll be checking for my window sticker daily:

I know what you mean Derek. My order went in on 3/4/14. It has been almost 5 weeks. My updates have been as follows 3/7 confirmation, 3/12 production scheduled, 3/31 paint. I hope to get another update this week. It is very exciting to get the updates. I have a question. How do you track the VIN when the one they sent me was just a partial number?

bamajamer, I think they're built within a couple of days, so yours should be done.

Get the full VIN from your dealer. If it has been released from the plant and invoiced, you should be able to get the window sticker online now!

If it's not, you might want to check to see why it is being delayed (maybe it didn't pass final inspection?).

I did contribute to Jeepgarage.org so I could get some tracking. I finally got D1 status (production scheduled) on April 5th. Unfortunately I don't know when it's actually scheduled, and there is no estimated delivery either. :(

Still waiting...

Thanks for the info Derek. I got an update this morning that it is in final inspection now. I hope it clears. Not sure how long this might take but if there is anything wrong with it I hope they find it. I text my salesman today and asked him if he could get the full VIN for me but I haven't heard back yet. Maybe I'll hear from him tomorrow.

still waiting here too.

I've read that sometimes it sits in 'final inspection', though in reality it is actually just waiting for shipping. I'm not sure how much truth there is to that, but their vehicle online tracking doesn't seem to be very precise.

Hi Guys, I am new to this forum but definitely wanted to share my journey to order and finally get 2014 D Citadel.
Also want to thank everyone for the great reviews, analysis and knowledge shared.
After much reviewing the competitors for the D, I finally placed order to-build on 3/10/14 since none of the dealers around me had the perfect trim with options. I went with the V6 Citadel, true blue with tan interior (i must say, looks awesome), plus tech, rear ent. and towing packages. The extra bling of the Citadel works very well with the True Blue exterior. The delivery was actually just one day shy of a month from the order date. The dealership experience was not bad at all. I paid $42,500 + tax and tags (no destination), which seems to be an fair deal looking at some of the experiences here in this forum. I will post some pictures tonight!

No it doesn't work precise, rather it skips steps or at least mine did. After being in paint status for a week and a half mine went to final inspection on4/9 and then on 4/10 status changed to shipment. I didn't get an email of it being shipped until yesterday. The dealership said to expect it around 4/28. I'm thinking it might arrive before then. Kimmu81 it sounds like you got your Citadel pretty fast. I look forward to seeing the pics.

Orderd a '14 Limited on 4/3/14. Granite Crystal with black interior. Hemi; Tow Pkg; Premium group; Safety/Security & Convenience group. VOTS email showed scheduled for production on 4/10.

Still waiting...

Ordered a '14 R/T on 4/4/14 - Granite, Hyperblack Wheels, Nav, Tech, Nappa, Sunroof

My dealership mentioned something about controlling my car from mobile phone, start/stop, locking, etc. does anyone know where I can find more detail about that?

It's the UConnect app. I have it on my Android. More a gimmick then anything else. I never use it. In fact...to remote start from the phone it can take 10 minutes. On my previous car...a Chevy it was almost instant.

Actually in use the UConnect app to remote start my car almost every day. Here in AZ the car can get a little toasty to say the least. 10 minutes before i leave the office for the day, i use the app to remote start my car. It takes around 2-5 minutes to start since the car connects to the cell network periodically to look for pending commands. But it works every time and the A/C kicks in and cools the car down before i get in. You can also do everything from the UConnect webpage that can be done with the app.
