Hello fellow DD fans,

I ordered my DD yesterday. Granite Citadel with the Tech package and Tan/Black interior. I have been trolling on this site for about a year, maybe less. Obsessing over this truck, saving for a decent down payment and waiting for my 39 month lease on my 2012 SRX to end. Finally pulled the trigger. I really feel that Fiat did a nice job with the fit and finish.
Now for the 4 to 6 week wait that will feel like 6 months...... I'll try not to think about it.....

In the future, I am hoping to add the roof rack cross bars and chrome side step bars (possibly the whole appearance group).

Regards,

I couldn't find a 2014 with the specs I wanted and at a price that made sense for a year old vehicle, so I ordered a 2015 last Friday. The dealer agreed to 2% off invoice on anything I wanted to order, and it seems like I could have pushed for a bit more but I'm happy with the deal and a low stress buying experience with a dealership that I like. I chose Redline, AWD, limited, captains chairs and the group with sunroof, nav, and lift gate. Oh yeah, and blacktop package. I don't tow, and I couldn't justify the extra lost MPG (few, I know) to get the R/T even though it would have only been an extra $1k or so. This is supposed to be my practical SUV, after all, for the coming child rearing years.

It sounds like some of you have received delivery in 4-5 weeks, so I'm hoping for the same. I was told by the dealer that I'll receive an email from Dodge with info on how to track the progress, but haven't received anything yet.

This site was a big help in choosing the D, so thanks to all of you who contribute.

Citadel V6 AWD

Citadel V6 AWD with Technology Group, Trailer Tow Group, Skid Plates and Engine Block Heater
Deep Cherry Red Crystal Pearlcoat + Black/Light Frost Beige Interior

FCA Supplier Di$count + Incentives (Fiat/Dodge sent me a $500 additional in my email a few weeks after joining their list!...sweet)
12-March-2015 order placed in DealerCONNECT.

My first car was a very used 318ci 1972 Dodge Challenger back in 1978!!! (old guy here) Back to "Dodge Law" now. I am I gonna be arrested? No spandex clothes (yuck!) but I do like croissants!

Lurked on here for a bit. Appreciate the enthusiasts here, they make the community rock. Did a lot of research. The DD is under-appreciated it seems. Dealers here had a very limited number on lots.

DD also has a "multiple-personality disorder" - as it can be tricked out hemi R/T + accesories to the max & tuner bits, or a near-luxury Escaladeish luxo cruiser to Mommy-mobile...or Daddy ain't driving a minivan, period. Salesman said it'd sell like crazy if they just changed the grill and called it Jeep. Truthfully, I liked the Jeep Summit a little better equipment-wise, but this is close 'enuf and we need a third row in our "practical & occasional "medium" tow car". We do minor off-road occasionally (fire trails, ruts, less than smooth campgrounds, etc...). Really like the "sorta big but smaller big" size on DD. And better gas milage with good acceleration on a gutsy V6.

Old ride- 2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4L - just privately sold (very easily on CL...no rust!, perfectly maintained) Just got tired of Expy (note to self NEVER buy early production all new-model FORD, ever..)--was long past that by now and it would go forever (we did not put a lot of miles on it...119K).

I actually cross-shopped a Lexus GX:eek:, and while I am pretty sure it is more carefully assembled at the somewhat famous Toyota Tahara plant than a DD, the DD is waaaay way way ahead on in many many specifications & design. I just hope the Italians did NOT bring FIATs "legendary" reliability to Jefferson Avenue. I'm not worried about some engineering sanfus on a late in model cycle unit--thank you guys for finding them all out! LOL. We will find out if it is screwed together carefully. Culture does matter in companies -- a lot -- (I worked for a multinational). Picky Engineer-type LOL.

It's on the Norfolk Southern somewhere per nice FCA CSR...which is kinda funny for such a short haul, as Deeetroit is just at the other end of the lake-- we're now in WNY. Got splash guards, mats (Husky X-Act fronts, WeatherTech 2nd & Husky WeatherBeater 3rd), chrome sill plates, chrome bug deflector sitting here waiting for it...BLING_ON LOL

First of all I have been reading these boards for a few weeks, so thank you all for the information you post. Today I ordered a granite Limited V6 AWD with the blacktop, premium, safety, and tow packages. I went with the V6 over the V8 because I'd rather have somewhat better fuel efficiency over an extra 1,000 of tow capacity. I'm looking forward to getting it in 4-6 weeks.

We ordered ours on the 8th and still have yet to get a vin#. The waiting is killing us!!

#234 ·
Ordered ours on April 11th (Limited, Granite Crystal/ Black, V6, Premium Group, Safety Group, Tow Package) and was advised by the dealer the following Wed that the vehicle would be shipped from the JN plant on the 27th and should arrive first or second week in May. Haven't received the VIN or any info via email. Has anybody been able to order the skid plate group on a '15 through the factory or the dealer. The salesman was having trouble finding it with his parts guy. Crossing my fingers that it will show up with the Beats system but honestly didn't even known about it/consider it until I hopped on this forum after test driving a week before ordering.

Congrats and welcome to the forum!

After months of deliberation, searching, test driving and pricing everything in it's class, and the fact that our car spun a rod last Monday (luckily under warranty that will expire in about 8 months) we ordered a

2015 Durango R/T AWD
Maximum Steel exterior w/ black interior

Options
Nappa leather
Nav
2nd row captains chairs
2nd row console
Tow Package
Block Heater

Currently have a 2011 Subaru WRX Sti that we dearly love. We just need more room. We are thinking that with the change from premium to regular gas and a little lesss power under the foot we might save some gas money with the R/T. Lol..

We don't have a timeline yet, we do have the VON. I know that VOTS is down but that I can ask for updates through chat on the Dodge website. I am very excited and the coming weeks will be agonizing. Very glad we ordered. There weren't many out there that were spec'd out the way we wanted them and we didn't want to pay for the options we didn't want. I don't think we got the most amazing deal ever, but I think we got a good deal and a great trade in.

Ooops! I neglected to post here about my order.

On 4/15 I ordered a Durango R/T and it's currently on a train on it's way to my dealership. I should be taking delivery on Monday, perhaps even over the weekend.

That's going to be a sharp looking Durango in Redline red

It was a long time coming, but I finally placed my order for my new Durango. Here's how she looks:

R/T RWD
Granite Crystal Metallic
Technology Group
Premium Nappa Leather Group (Black)
Trailer Tow Group IV
Uconnect 8.4AN AM/FM/SXM/HD/BT/NAV

I was definitely on the fence about plunking down almost another two grand on the Tech package, but I'm gonna have this vehicle for a long time and I didn't want to have the nagging regret of not getting something I knew I really wanted. I'd driven another car a few times that has adaptive cruise control and every time, it was just awesome. Can't wait to check out the other features it offers.

It'll have Beats Audio too, so we'll see what that brings besides color-coordinated speaker grille badges. I'm thinking it will at least have the DSP fix, so that would be nice. Glad though that it sounds like everybody will be getting that.

That is exactly the trim and configuration I'll be ordering, but mine will be AWD (need it for Utah winters). Perhaps you wouldn't mind sending me a PM and sharing the price you were able to negotiate?

After spending several long months trying to find an RT with everything we wanted, we finally order exactly what we wanted on 4/24. Well almost, it probably won't have Beats but we wanted it by the start of summer vacation. Today we found out through vin tracking on jeepgarage.com that it should be at the dealer on 5/25. Wow that's fast. The other cool thing is we finally found a dealer that would give us a great deal and surprise they've also been the nicest.

RT AWD Granite Crystal Metalic
Blacktop
Technology Group
Premium Nappa Leather
Captain Chairs with Armrest Console
Uconnect with Nav
Towing

Can't wait. I'm loving the building anticipation.:D
