I noticed that for 2022 there is not Durango Hellcats anymore. I think Dodge could extend the production at least couple years more before they go electric. I guess I will have to wait 5-10 years and buy one used. [emoji2359]

All hellcats will be extinct soon...the new emission rules/regulations are too strict.

 

After putting 130k miles on our Jeep Patriot, and growing our family from 2 to 4......on Saturday we ordered a 2022 SXT, now we just have the wait to deal with

 

• We've received a VIN
• Still in sourcing parts status, so not yet scheduled for manufacture.

 

Well 2 months and 1 day. It’s here I pick it up Saturday.

Why are you ordering a plain SXT? Those should only be rental vehicles and you can find plenty of them on Carvana or Vroom, some with less than 10K on them and a few under 1K.

 

There is very little available on the secondary market in our area, and we want to stick with our home dealership.

 

So when a dealer factory orders you a vehicle do they immediately get a POC and a VON? My salesman doesn't seem to know what I'm talking about when I asked him for a copy of the POC with the MSRP and FWP pricing, and I explained it to him and he said his manager said the factory will send that once the order is confirmed...is that the case? I was under the impression once the dealer placed the order they would have a POC on hand to give to me.

 

They should at minimum have a VON.

 

Dealers that give you the sheet without the invoice side are such trash.

Ok thanks I'll give that a try...my salesman just texted me and said it's in dealer connect and it's ordered...but no further info. It's kinda pissing me off!
they have to know what I'm asking for they just don't want me to see it is my guess.

 

Considering you have a least a 2-3 month wait (at a minimum) for delivery I think proof that the order in the system (aka a VON) is not too much trouble to ask for and receive.

 

Well my Salesman finally sent me a POC with my VIN and they didn't actually order it until February 4th even though they said they ordered it on the 31'st of January...and as you can see he cut off the dealer pricing...

My update this morning was the same.

Materials received, sequenced for build.

We'll see how our timelines compare in the end, mine was ordered 2/5......same plant, the only major difference would be that I'm only 500 miles from Detroit, so shipping logistics are a little easier.

Going by sequence number.....yours is 51 ahead of mine

Tell them that. Tell them you want it with zero PDI done and all plastic and protection in place. No miles on it, just as it came off the car carrier. Do you visual walk around inspection with them and take it home.

Checked status again today. Have been getting the same reply (as posted above) for three weeks now. Does not sound like I'll be receiving anytime soon.

 

The line, "you can be assured that we take vehicle quality seriously" is hilarious. I love my truck, but there have been so many glaringly obvious quality issues that have left the factory for numerous members here.

 

could you imagine if they didn't take it seriously?

 

Update today.....still showing as sequenced for build.....but received an email from FCA with a delivery date.

 

Nice...I haven't received anything other than the POC I had to beg the dealer for.

 

I never received an email for my 22 that I picked up last weekend.

I am absolutely loving it. i have 600 miles on it. Tried Sport mode for the first time today. Definite difference. Seems so much faster than my 14 was.

installed my auto stop eliminator and my ZAddons deluxe rock guards today. Way to dirty and dark for pics will get some when I clean her up tomorrow.

 

I contacted dodge chat line today and they told me my '22 DD is in paint and almost ready to go into trim!

I believe that I got my DD a month after it was done in paint . I hope your are the same It stayed in storage at JNAP a long time. Ordered December 9. Picked up from dealer on February 8

 

I can't help myself lol I contacted dodge chat again today and it looks like it's moving along nicely they said it is on the trim stage (G status) so it won't be long until it's done!

I am it's been fun tracking my build...other than the dealer I ordered it from...i asked my salesman for a update and his response was it's still at the factory being built lol like duh I know that....I told them today I want the vehicle delivered to me with no non-factory accessories aka no dealer add ons and immediately got resistance telling me that all their vehicles come with KARR brand alarms and Data Dot DNA...I told my salesman no I don't want any of that and he insisted I didn't have a choice. He was implying that the factory installs these items and I laughed at him and said no, no they absolutely do not install these items!
I said well once the vehicle arrives don't touch it I'll take delivery as it comes off the truck. I also requested no PDI that I want to come inspect the vehicle with a dealership employee to note any discrepancies and he said that a PDI isn't an option that they must do one before i take delivery. 🤬
I told my salesman look this is my money and not a dealer stock order and I'm not paying for your BS rip-off add ons.
He finally says he will talk with his manager and they agreed not to install the $599 KARR alarm but insisted that they are required to put the data dot on for $199...it's pissing me off but if I have to pay $199 not to ever deal with this dealer again it will be worth it.

Well my DD window sticker and build sheet uploaded this morning. Contacted dodge and they said it's in the shipping stage but no ETA on delivery date to the dealer.
It's pretty exciting tracking the order. It was 4 weeks ago today I put my deposit down.
