Hi friends! I ordered my RT on 9/21. Finally after an unhealthy amount of attempts to see my build sheet, it became available yesterday. Then today, I was able to see my window sticker. After chatting with mopar today, I was told that it has been built/inspected and just waiting on it to be shipped out.

Questions for y’all that have already gone through the process this year:
What can I expect now until I take delivery? I live in NC (Charlotte metro area). Will I be notified prior to it being available to pickup at the dealership? Incentives will be applied in the month that the customer takes delivery, right?

I’m super excited, but trying not to get my hopes up. I’ll be happy if I get it before Christmas honestly.
Thanks in advance y’all!

probably still at least 2 weeks until you can take delivery. maybe a little longer with the Thanksgiving holiday in there. it will be put on a rail car and shipped to the Charlotte area by train. then once it arrives at the local rail yard it will take a couple days at least to unship from the rail car and transport to the dealer.

mine was ordered 9/22 and will be shipped to Atlanta GA. my salesman told me with my expected build date of 11/17 it would be early to mid December before ready to pick up.

I am still waiting on mine, so I can’t speak to updates in terms of delivery. Others have said it sat within 100 miles for a few days. Others have said one day the dealer just called and said it arrived. I believe most were able to get updates on location from the dealer.
Also, according to my dealer you get the incentives offered during the month you take delivery. Right now on mine if you lease it would be 3500 in incentives in November. I wouldn’t expect that to decrease much if at all in December. If you go build out your model on the Dodge website it usually shows you the incentives for your area. If you’re leasing you can use the edmunds forums to get money factor, residual, and incentives.

While it was being shipped, my salesman texted me
An update of where it was last at on the daily. Even after it arrived and sat for a week due to the Labor Day holiday, he gave me updates that it had been moved within the railyard. And then texted me pics the day it arrived.

getting closer. :) Build Sheet is up. no Window Sticker yet though.

original order was 9/22.

Hi Dan,

Your Durango has been built and released for transport, no ETA in GA has posted yet, I'll update you again when I see an ETA post.

I received my build sheet and window sticker last Thursday. Both at the same time. Reading over the build sheet I noticed a few interesting things near the end.

  • D1-To-D Regress. Seems there must have been some issue. This would likely explain my long wait time. I wish I could know exactly what the issue was.
  • Special Scheduling Condition VII. This one I think means some higher-up kicked this thing to the front of the line when whatever issue was resolved.
  • Schedule D To C Tracking
  • Low Option Content Tracking 1
No idea what the above last 2 are if anything out of the ordinary.

The last E-mails I got (a few weeks ago) gave an estimated delivery date of "week of Dec. 8th." which seems fairly probable.

Super excited to finally get it but, incredibly stressed about all that needs to be done to her starting immediately. Almost 6 months of waiting.

getting closer. :) I have to admit the anticipation is becoming half the fun of buying this Durango.

Hey Dan,

An ETA of 11/27 posted today, once it hits the rail yard in GA it can be 3 to 10 days before we get it and with the holiday there might be an additional delay, I'll keep you posted.

Delivery pushed back another week, but I’m not complaining. Okay I am, but I’ve been rolling with a dead tag on my Lexus since October (had already ordered Durango and my illegal tint makes it difficult to pass inspection). Plus who wants to pay $400 for registration—if I’m legit just waiting on my new car to arrive (using the Lexus as a trade-in).

Here’s my question—when you receive your Durango, are you breaking the motor in exactly how it states in the manual?I.e. for the first 500 miles, provide variations in RPMs but nothing higher than 4RPM, no cruise control, no long trips with consistent RPM, etc. Are you planning on doing more than the recommended 500 mile mark or less?

I’ve always purchased gently used cars, so this is my first brand new car purchase. My husband on the other hand has bought 2 brand new ones in the past 2 years. 2019 Challenger RT and 2020 Charger SRT with scat pack. He’s been absolutely neurotic about the break-in period of his engines. Like to the tee—it was rather obnoxious. But maybe I should take it pretty seriously?

thoughts?

my DD TNG hit the rail yard on Nov 28th. should be at the dealer any day.

now I just have to coordinate a road trip to Atlanta to pick it up. good part of that is I should get the majority of my break in miles on the 6 hour trip back to Myrtle Beach. :)
