Wow that was fast. Must be pumpin out these late 21's. Ordered 7/20 ETA 10/18-10/31

 

typo it was ordered 8-24 not 9-24 so the estimated approximate build time 7-8 weeks was accurate with some additional freight time

 

Mine is due to arrive sometime between tomorrow and 21st, although yesterday the salesperson said it should be (somewhere I can't remember) in PA by today. I'm in delaware

Now we are gonna have to get to carmax sometime this week to get their offer on the outgoing vehicle, although now it only lasts 7 days

 

Also do Carvanna and Vroom, as they are online and easy. If it is a lease though, Vroom won’t purchase anymore.

 

Never tried them. I'll check it out. Just want to have as much ammo as possible going to the dealer

 

Man, I guess I lucked out. Ordered my R/T on 7/29 and picked it up at the dealer on 8/26.

 

this seems waayyyy fast to me. did you get in on an order the dealer already had in the works?

Transported by rail? It can definitely take several days to get offloaded.

 

Yes. I know the exact place they told me. You can see all the staged cars from the highway as you drive by. So close, yet so far

 

I ordered the Destroyer Gray SRT with Black Package and Sunroof on 5/28 for my wife. After a very long wait, I just heard from the dealer that it has finally moved from D1 status and is now in paint!

 

oh, that's long wait. I ordered similar 8/26, hopefully not taking as long. I wish early Xmas present around my b-day in end of Nov

 

Bet you have it today or by Monday at the latest!

 

I'm not placing any bets for myself with all the shortages of labor and whatnot. The dealer I worked with was off yesterday and today, and they said deliveries rarely come in Saturdays.

Not to mention the PDI they have to do.

At best, if they get it today, they do a PDI and it will be ready tomorrow. If they get it late today or Saturday, I'm guessing they'll use Monday for PDI.

I wanted to at least get to carmax this weekend for an offer. They only last 7 days so it better be ready next week some time

I might give the dealer a call today to see if it came

 

They’ll know. My dealer knew when the rail car was moved within the yard and knew when it was being offloaded. Even texted me pics as soon as it landed on their lot.

 

The best is when your dealer sends you the just arrived shots of your vehicle...Its like one of those pics of Bigfoot or Loch Ness

 

 

Just heard that my R/T (ordered on 10/3) is in D1, est. ship date of 10/28, barring any shortage delays. We will see, trying not to get my hopes up.

 

Well here's a new one....did the chat thing this AM and same 'ol same 'ol....so I called Dodge Customer Care direct . (800-423-6343). No record of VIN, No record of VON. They did find something by my name and advised that since the order was over 9 weeks old, it may have been dropped. (I'm on week 12). She advised that they will once again escalate a request up the chain of command (third time now) and will have an answer for me today. My sales rep. checked it and says its still supposed to ship the last week of September 2021.... Missed it! So my very frustrated sales representative is contacting the Regional Manager, (hopefully not Michael Scott ) and is going to put him on the hunt. Oh BTW I went on line and built the same exact 2021 that I ordered on 07/24/21, and the base model is about $2,000 less and fully spec'd out MSRP is now approx. $4,000 less. ..exact same options!

 

So frustrating. I hope it gets tracked down. Hopefully if it was dropped, Dodge would have the customer know how to tell you, but sounds like that might not be the case. It terms of your build now being cheaper, it might be due to incentives, which change each month. When I do mine, the MSRP before incentives is exactly the same.

Mine just arrived at the dealer today after sitting about 20 minutes away in a lot since the 12th. Of course I knew this would happen. We don't really have the time during the weekday so it'll be sitting until Saturday

 

Update on my SRT; build scheduled 10/28/21 and probably 3..4 wks to get it here to local dealers lot. Can't wait 🤓

 

And you ordered yours in August ya? Jebus I hope that means mines in the works….ordered Jan…..

So I guess my official timeline was:

-Went to dealer and told him what we wanted July 29th. He said he would not place the order until the following Monday which was August 2nd

- options were r/t, TnG, BSM, tech package, sunroof, blacktop, 2nd row capt

- got the message from dodgechat all parts were received on Sept 9th and were awaiting a scheduled build. And after many mornings of chats it was the same message

-Oct 11th got estimated ship date of 10/13 - 10/21

- shipped and arrived at staging rail yard Oct 12th

- arrived at dealer Oct 18th

if any of you still want to order a CDJR vehicle and are anywhere near Atlanta GA, Mike Clinnin at Mall of Georgia CDJR is the man. he's selling for under invoice if you tell him you're from the forums. he's been very easy to deal with so far. I'm driving about 6 hours from Myrtle Beach to pick it up but well worth a road trip for a good deal.


...a build date of 11/4 has been scheduled, if that holds we should see your Durango right around turkey time, I'll confirm the build took place on schedule on the 5th.

WOW, ordered 07/24/21 - still waiting to be scheduled....2021 Tow n Go, Cargo and Tech package. Granite Met., Red Brembo, Moon Roof, Vitra Grey Interior, NO Blacktop. - WTH???

 

Thats what im saying. I ordered 7/20, few days before you and mine is set to arrive any day now. The fact you dont even have a build date is odd

I ordered May 5th for an SRT and got my VON before I left, and the VIN a day or two later. We ended up buying something else as the wait went way beyond the 6 to 8 weeks we were willing to wait for as we were told.

Today my dealer said they FINALLY got the thing in. Almost 6 months in on this order, and not once was there an update or an email sent. This includes Dodge chat online as they have no idea what is happening either. So for those of you that are waiting, goodluck, as getting real updates doesn't seem to happen anymore. And when they say it is scheduled to be built by such and such date, well all I can say there is take that with a grain of salt. The SRT's seem to be a really long wait, but be prepared not to get a 2021 if you just ordered an SRT at least, I'm not the only one that waited several months.

Anyway, enough with the depressing part. If anyone is looking for an SRT, Eric Henkel Dodge in Battle Creek Michigan just got one in today. If your serious about an SRT be fast, this one will be gone before it hits their webpage, as they are normally sold within the first few days of one arriving.

I am going to check it out Saturday morning, and will post some pictures of it (if it is still there anyway). Until then, I'll put the window sticker up here.

Yep, I am about one week away from cancelling my order and going with another manufacturer. I've been lied to, and misled for 12 weeks now. And the funny thing, no one at Dodge seems to care. I'll take my $64k elsewhere.

 

I waited just shy of 4 months. If your dealer never once gave you any updates, that is beyond lame. My dealer texted me anytime there was an update. There weren’t many though lol.
