Just did dodge chat and they said the parts have arrived so the next thing is scheduling for the assembly

My dealer called Saturday with an estimated ship date of early October. Then proceeded to warn me it could still sit in a yard for possible last minute parts to be installed

I still get nothing on the buildsheetservlet. I thought that wouldn't actually update until it was "currently" being built. Idk how long it takes to go through the assembly line but if the estimated ship date is early October it might not start being built until next week

Expect to wait 2 months minimum. If you get it sooner, sweet but unlikely. Look at recent several pages of posts in this thread.

Hi everyone! Wanted to introduce myself, my name is Sam. I’m an ER RN and after a month of searching for a 2021 Durango RT in a 500-mile radius and coming up short, I bit the bullet and decided to go the factory order route.

Yesterday I ordered a Durango RT RWD in destroyer gray with red interior, blacktop package, sunroof, sidesteps, technology package, tow group and blind spot/cross-path detection. I received my VIN today. I’m so anxious and excited at the same time! I live in the Charlotte, NC area.

Please give me updates on how your Factory order Durango is playing out, it’ll help a sisters nerves a bit. Thanks in advance!! 😎👊🙌

Congratulations... The dealer I ordered from had a few on order but mine came back with the first VIN # due to it being a purchase. I guess it goes through the system faster that way, four weeks in just recently conatced dodge through chat and they confirmed all the parts were in and it should be in assembly shortly and they mentioned typically 8-9 weeks from the original order. Three weeks to build one week to ship ?

From what I’ve seen it definitely does. Perhaps since they tried pushing the hellcat/srt and they share the same parts, not sure. But what an experience this has been lol. First time ordering a car, maybe the last time 😂

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what
Invoice says: "Status: D - Firm schedule, serial number is assigned"

First link above gets me "No Records Found Corresponding to VIN Provided"
Second link: "Sorry, A Window Sticker is unavailable for this VIN"

I did order T and G

Any Info. ??

VIN will not pull any info until it’s on the line and being built. By the time my VIN pulled up anything, it was in paint and released for shipping like the next day. Plant is shut down and I highly doubt it has been built yet with an order date of 8/9. A lot of us waited around 4 months for TNGs…. Or so it seems. For the most up to date info, call your dealer. Chat should be able to tell you up until the point it ships, but your dealer will be able to track its daily movement. At least that was my experience as recent as a couple weeks ago.

So I have 750 miles on my tow and go and I'm noticing a ticking noise on my passenger side. I mean I just aftermarket running boards installed but it didn't do it the day of but the next day I am hearing this noise. I only hear the noise when I drive. I'm hoping it's just loose bolts but who knows. The faster I go, the faster it ticks and slower I go, the less the sound is. but when I idle it doesn't make any noise.

Gonna go back tomorrow and have them look at the running boards, hopefully they find put it's that then something major.

Hey guys, new member here. Currently have a 2021 TnG on order and figured id drop a timeline of my order process thus far to give some of those with newer orders an idea of what to expect.

order date 7/20 (VIN received a couple days following)

received initial build date on 9/10 scheduled for 9/16

Current scheduled build date 10/5 due to 2 week shutdown

Basically, be prepared to sit in scheduling for a while and for hiccups at any point during the process. Unfortunately caught the last week or so of the previous shut down and now the current one. Been a long 10 weeks!

Well as of Saturday 09/25/21 my Dealership says its still on track to ship this week!....but, Dodge chat agents say anything from, "Thank you very much and thank you so much for your patience and holding. I am showing all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process very soon." to "Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process. The parts required to build the vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, order will be scheduled for build."

Every time I contact dodge chat, its a different story. its been "escalated three times now, but no-one has contacted ot emailed me about my order..." These agents don't sound very reliable..

Does anyone have any experience with this? Does my dealership know best? Does Dodge Chat know what they are talking about, or just throwing pre-formatted answers out there?

I've stopped going the chat route. It is always the same answer, just like what you described. Ordered 15 weeks ago. Have had several est ship dates. Latest is 10/8. Was 9/22, then 9/24. My dealer is very nice about the whole thing but they don't appear to have a clue either. I think they all look at the same status screen. I was at D1 a month ago. We've all been reduced to using those links to see if a window sticker appears. Large disconnect between customer service, the dealers and JNAP. I expect something will have to give before Nov... :cautious:

After owning Durangos since 1998 I have found myself on the outside looking in. Ordered my TnG in February and was last provided a November 22nd build date which fell outside my window (long story) and sadly was forced to cancel. Was excited for everything associated with the TnG package. Ended up staying in the Stellantis family with the new Jeep 3 row Grand Cherokee L with the 5.7. Excited about a lot of what the GCL has to offer but will miss the passion of the Durango R/T. Hope some of it bleeds over to the GCL.

Hoping that the next Durango will be based on the GCL but with the Dodge muscle car look and feel (before everything becomes electric.) Will be back then!

In the meantime there may be an Octane red RT TnG showing up in Connecticut in late November…. Hope it finds a proper home with someone who really wants and appreciates it. Will miss my Durango.

See you soon DD nation
