TURN YOUR VOLUME UP TO MAX!
I’m new here what does C and D mean? I ordered a DDSRT on May 25. So far only gotten a VIN. ThanksThis today after ordering in February…. Note that it was in D status months ago and fell backwards to C. Not sure what to make of the odds…
Good timing on the update, it has now progressed to D status. That gives it a 93% chance of getting built. There has been a lot of turmoil at the plant. In addition to the chip shortage and other supply chain issues the plant was flooded a couple of weeks ago in a heavy downpour that also put several thousand already built vehicles under water. It’s tough to say when but my sense is that it WILL get built.
Congrats! I am on the same boat, wifey wanted the F8 Green. There wasn’t any of them near me in any form lol. So said screw it and ordered how we wanted it. Hopefully the plant gets their orders in for the chips and gets pumping. Give those guys some OT I’m sure they’re wanting it! But your probably looking at around Winter time with how all our orders are going. Patience is key. The chip shortage is looking to cause chaos till the end of 2022 so I think the used market will stay stimulated. Honestly I think it may even exceed their 2022 outlook. But shit happens.so wife and i pulled the trigger last night after she test drove a demo r/t at the dealer. went ahead and ordered with the options we wanted, which apparently the dealer will put in today. i didn't get a whole lot of good vibes about the potential wait time or luck-of-the-draw but but wifey wants wifey gets
it's a shame because i was able to locate one with every option we wanted within 50 miles from us but it had the dual stripes, which she didn't want in the least. i told her the next closest one was about 200 miles away, and every color seemed to be black
so i guess this will be the first post to chronicle this purchase
so we went with the r/t, awd, TnG (i had to have that), blacktop, tech group, premium interior, upgraded speakers, no console, and i cant remember which color she wanted but it was one of the grays.
this will be to replace her '18 grand cherokee overland. we were looking to get a 3rd row for a potential addition to the family, and it was between the durango r/t and explorer ST. had her test drive the explorer (used 2020 with 30,000 miles on it) and although she liked the ride enough to want it right then and there, i told her to test out the durango too. once she did she decided it was better
can't get over some of the things in the explorer that ruined it for us. although it had more power and better gas mileage, it certainly doesn't have the best tow rating. we tow a boat so for me i lean towards the side of overkill for towing ability. also pull an ~8,000lb camper with my 2500 with the 6.4 after i didn't want to use my 1500 hemi anymore. the center display literally looks like someone glued a tablet onto the dash, and vertical at that! and my phone with case did not fit on the explorer charger (works in the durango).
hopefully the process to get it isn't too excruciating and the used market stays up by the time we trade her GC in
