Apologies for the long post all. But I just got my 21 SRT (ordering on Aug 6, got Nov 10). Here is info I used to check on my vehicle through the process. It will be frustrating - no doubt. But it is rewarding at the end! Figured I would share what I have and you can all choose to use it as you like.
As the car goes through the process, you will get the VIN. This should come from your dealer/salesperson very early in the process. If they haven't given you that info, definitely stay on them to get you this info.
VIN DECODER:

The easiest way to check you status is through Live Chat (link below). I checked almost every day for 10 weeks. Don’t feel bad about it. Every chat you will want to copy and paste info to help the rep get you a quick answer.
Copy and paste when you start the chat

Once they have your VIN and verifiy your address. They will look it up and give you the status such as "it is being painted". There are codes associated with every step, so ask for them just so you can see what might be next (see list below - painting is code F). I always asked for any estimated date and every now and then they may or may not tell me. Be aware that dates change, so don't get too mad if you get different dates or simply wont provide one. Also note – some of the initial statuses can last 60 days (like waiting on parts). My vehicle took 8 weeks to start and less than two to finish. It goes quick once it starts.
BUILD SHEET:
https://www.chrysler.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=
Just replace the XXXX part of the URL with your actual VIN in upper case. I believe this is available once the car is scheduled so once the car moves out of D1 status, start checking. Eventually it will appear. Tons of good information here and a great way to confirm your vehicle. You can select the link, then just edit the VIN at the end of url to yours. You can then make that URL a favorite to check it periodically.
WINDOW STICKER:
https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=XXXX
When the car is invoiced to the dealer, the window sticker will be made available. Again, replace the XXXX part of the URL with your actual VIN in upper case. It should be a PDF of the sticker on your car's window. This wont be available until the car is done with the Trim stage. Just like the build sheet, click the link then update the VIN at the end of the URL and make it a favorite.
There are many codes, here is a list to help explain what the possibilities are (I do not know if this list contains all of the possible codes): Generally speaking – you will get words not codes from a chat or phone rep. Your sales rep will usually get a code or a word. With the list below you can work between them all and get a sense for what is next. You really care about the scheduled, build and built stages.
