How’s everybody’s vehicle coming along with building/shipping?
Mine “shipped” 3/6, but no further details. I’m currently on the hunt for a 2022. With ordering from Toyota you can literally track the vehicle fairly accurately all the way up to when it’s loaded onto a truck for the last leg to dealership drop off. Dodge prefers to keep customers in the dark, so frustrated with them

Mine was shipped on 7 Mar. No other updates since then. Dealer did say that the vehicles will often sit at the Denver Railyard for weeks because they just don't have drivers to get them down to the dealership in Colorado Springs. Pretty frustrating.
It’s seems like everyone just blame the lack of drivers as a reason why they can’t deliver stuff on time. I think it’s total BS excuses.

Congratulations,

My GT has very similarly timeline as yours from steps 2-5. “Shipped” on 3/6, but was in KZS status. Today I checked with my dealer for update and it’s now in KZ. Sales man sent me a screenshot with tracking details showing it was released at facility, ready for second vendor in Toledo-Nitro on 3/8.

When I asked how long it typically takes from current location to dealership in VA, this was his response “Unfortunately with this status it is still at the factory waiting for a shipping company to be assigned. Once that happens we will have a better idea. I would estimate at this point maybe 2-3 weeks but we do not know for sure”

This is all too frustrating for me being in the dark. So I went to searching and found a new base 22 RT with almost $8k incentives. And should have it sometime next week, being shipped from out of state.

So it has to go by rail first then the trucking company picks it up for the final journey to the dealer. I was pretty quick on the rail only two weeks from Detroit to Baltimore. Then another week from Baltimore to Vienna, VA which is a massive 1 hour away. Somit boiled down to getting a truck under it once the DD was unloaded from the rail car. It took three weeks for mine to be delivered. My saving grace was that mone was loaded on a rail car only three days after it was released from shipment. You just have to have to hang out and wait for it all to happen.

Did the same thing except to light a fire under the dealer's butt. Found the exact model that I ordered at a dealership in Denver. Contacted my dealer and said that unless I get the car this next week, then I am canceling the order and buying the one in Denver. Low and behold, the dealer got back to me within the hour and said they would send a runner up there on Monday to bring it down here. They were perfectly content to let it sit there for 2-4 weeks until they could line up a truck.

Wow this made me laugh a little. The dealers act as though there’s nothing they could do until the the vehicle lands on the their lot. But yours were able to send someone to get it in order not to lose a sale. Good for you on applying pressure to get your Rango in a decent time. Hope you’re enjoying it so far.

Does anyone know if you can make changes to an order after it’s been placed?

with my DD TNG I ordered the “SRT seats” because it automatically switched to 2nd row captain seats for $999 without having to pay $1500 for the captain seats switch.
BUT I’m pretty sure the seats are the suede material and not the leather, which initially I was okay with. However, I’m riding in my husbands 2020 Charger SRT and he has the suede seats and it collects hair like nobody’s business.
I never noticed until now because before we didn’t have our white pitbull.
Thoughts?

I was told 24hrs after your order is accepted by Dodge, no changes can be made. I was told that after attempting to change exterior color.

Does the TNG even get the suede seats? I thought they were leather until you got to the SRT. I don't know if the SRT interior is added to the TNG. If it is then they really made the TNG to have everything an SRT has but the engine.

The 2023 Stellantis product info document for the Durango makes no mention of seats in the description of the Tow N Go Package.

Standard seats in the R/T are "Shift mesh cloth with Carolina Cloth bolsters".

"Nappa leather with Nappa Axis II perforated inserts and accent stitching in red; includes embroidered “//” logo" are included in the Plus and Premium packages on the R/T.

Whether Dodge actually builds the cars according to the published product info is another matter. ;)

Looks like you can only get leather with the RT plus
