Is it easier to bring stuff from home or go to a local store near Carlisle? Should I bring a folding table, chairs, or the two pop up party tents I have?

We wont need tents unless you need for by your own ride.
Carlisle will give us a table I believe and I recommend folding chairs for sure.
I always like to bring it in a cooler from Home shopping But we do generally pick up ice and more water and other drinks everyday

Bring enough chairs for the folks coming with you.. There are usually a few spares, but you want to make sure you all have a seat in the shade.

If you have special stuff from local shops, bring that.. e.g. I'll bring some Chicopee Kielbasa.. otherwise the Wegman's in Mechanicsburg is a good place to get stuff..

We'll have two 'banquet tables' at the tent from Carlisle. I'll bring my pop-up canopy, which we may or may not need for extra shade. If you like to have a canopy at your vehicle, bring that.

And a cooler or two, just to make sure we have what we need to keep things overnight and take away what's left over.

I think we'll do ABC (Mechanicsburg | Appalachian Brewing Company) at least one night.. that was pretty good last year..

Black n Bleu (Black N Bleu Mechanicsburg Restaurant 17050 17055 Harrisburg York PA) was pretty good as well, maybe we'll do that again too, dunno.. I need to dig around a bit more.. I don't have any boots-on-the-ground in the area any longer to go scope places out..

it's starting to get close, looking at the calendar to see when I can ignore the family and spiff up the ride. Might not succeed

Just had another conversation with the event management folks at Carlisle, and they are looking forward to seeing us again.

They should be going in the mail anytime now - last year I received it on June 20. The deadline to register and still get the sticker in the mail just passed last week.

Thanks steve and regarding your last post I just booked it today which was past the June 8th dead line for mail so how do I get what I need? Also I'm probably only coming Saturday....that could change but that is the plan as of right now

 

if you need to pick up your creds at the show, get in the left lane when entering.. you'll need to take a left into the parking lot at the gate to get your stuff.

 

When you get there you will got to the building by Gate 3 and pick up your sticker and stuff

Tom I think you and I can set this group arrival up for Sat Am at the circle across the way from Gate 3. We will have a time to be there and line up and then go in.

Yeah let's try to set that up.. the circle is shown here: https://www.google.com/maps/@40.2187229,-77.1865877,543m/data=!3m1!1e3 between K St and N West St ... I don't know if there is space on the backside to meet up, or if there is parking there during the show.. but we can give it a shot..

Or there are some parking lots over by Hanover and Clay Sts, I think there's an autozone or something there.. we could maybe stage there..
