Official 2015 Carlisle All Chrysler Nationals Thread

Gentleman and Ladies,

A few of us have discussed off season the need for a DodgeDurango.net Meet at the 2015 Carlisle All Chrysler Nationals. The event will be July 10-12 in Carlisle PA.
This is a Great Venue and an opportunity to meet as many of the members online and show off your pride. Everyone will be parked together on the showfield. A tent large enough for us all to hang out in to stay out of the sun and a place to eat.

A room rate of $129 per night has been arranged as well. This is a pretty good rate for the nationals and its a Nice clean place. All Rooms are double queen beds so it may save a few of you to share a room with another member.

We will have a full itinerary as time goes forward to show where the group will go for dinners Friday night Sat Night and Breakfast on Both Sat and Sun before we all convoy to the show to get the results and say our goodbyes before heading home.
If you will be staying elsewhere from the club we will arrange a rendezvous point to meet up each morning. Its Always Awesome to convoy in all together.

Still not sure if I'm staying at the hotel or when i'm coming down. I'm supposed to work Friday to Sunday, so not sure I want to take off all 3 days. You guys are making this sound great!

They are booked solid Thursday already, 7 rooms left for Friday/Saturday as of today. 24hr cancellation policy

Two questions: Approximately how far away from the fairgrounds is the hotel where most of you are staying at? Secondly, if you purchase a pass or whatever to park inside the gates with all of you guys, and you accidentally get drunk, are you allowed to leave your vehicle there overnight, and take a taxi back? (Hypothetically speaking, of course) I love to have fun, but driving with tint after a few drinks is not something I'm willing to chance.

No worries as Tom stated none of us take chances we will Party where its safe and we can all get back to Hotel safely.

It's about a 15-mile drive.

I don't think overnight parking is allowed, but not sure. Most of the adult beverage consumption happens during the evening, so we haven't had to worry about needing a ride back from the show.

two cases will be plenty I think for an enjoyable quaff... with the heat and the sun we keep the on-site consumption pretty low lest we all pass out..

We will go through several cases of water, though..

The sun is important. We've all ended up with at least some bright red patches where we missed the sunblock.

The goods news is that we'll have a tent, so there will be a place to at least get some shade.

Not that it matters at this point, but you don't need to wait to book with Carlisle - especially when they offer the early discount in December. It's very easy to switch vehicles for your registration. I had registered with my Stratus Coupe for 2014, and after buying the Durango last May, called them up and switched vehicles. If you do it before early June, you will get your sticker mailed out with updated vehicle, so no waiting at check in.

We have had both Charcoal and gas grills in the past.
