I've been trying to get a fix for that damn ECO button memory on several occasions. Some users reported they had it fixed it, but I had every single update done including two most recent ones and still no luck. During last visit dealer pulled this information and no follow up after that:

Case #: S1508000166
Release Date: 04/18/2015

Symptom/Vehicle Issue: ECO Mode On- Off Setting Changes Back to Default On Position After The Key is Cycled Off

Discussion: Performing TSB 21-004-15, 21-012-15, 21-003-15 highlights an update to change the ECO mode on/off setting. The update was to correct the current ON setting after each ignition cycle to a retained off setting if owner selected. This update to allow a retainable setting is not working. Do not replace any parts to resolve. Further updates are being investigated for 2014 WK, and WD vehicles.

Permanently off? Can never turn it back on?

Just got the oil changed last week and they did another couple updates. Once for the AC and one for the PCM. I'm not sure if the PCM update would fix that or not, I'll have to see.

Regardless, its been a much smoother ride and the difference between regular and eco isn't as drastic as it used to be.

I just had all available updates performed this past Friday. They did 4. PCM update, radio/amp update for EQ issue, the one that addressed having to hit fob 4x to get hatch to open, and shift quality update. My ECO button still does not retain setting. I would love to know what was updated on your 14' to fix that.

The tsb has ** on it for the eco memory because it doesn't fix it for the 5.7L 8 spd from my understanding. I purchases a PAC unlock add on for camera installs just because it had eco memory on it. It worked like a charm until I flashed my PCM for my Whipple. Unfortunate thing is I believe the Whipple flash makes my PCM not recognizable as a 2014 so I lost the eco memory. Fortunate thing is the Whipple flash fixed the shift points so my eco mode is finally tolerable to drive. So you have two options. PAC add on, or install a Whipple :)

500+ crank hp and ECO mode sounds like a win to me.

Bought my 2014 R/T used back in August. Dealer I bought if from (BMW dealer) took it to Dodge dealer who "installed some updates" while it was there. When the vehicle was started, ECO was always defaulted to the "on" position.

Took it to local Dodge dealer to "fix" sunroof that did not sit flush when closed. They said it just needed to be re-calibrated and they did it no charge. They also said they installed some more updates. ECO still defaulted to "on" position when starting.

Took it in first week of October to get oil changed and asked service manager to make sure all updates had been completed. He said it had one they had to install and it was now up to date.

The ECO now stays in whatever mode it was in when the vehicle was shut down. To clarify, I do NOT have to turn off ECO every time I start the vehicle and I can turn it on if I want to.

Moral of story-before updates ECO always defaulted to ON. After updates ECO remains in mode last activated.
