Well I just got home from getting my new daul exhaust installed, sounds amazing. It's a flowmaster 40 series with the daul outlets.

A Few Pics Of it
I still have to get some tips for it

Yea the spare is still in there. The tube that goes around it's bent like 10 times to make it fit. I though it'd take the guy 30 mins to bend it but he just looked at it, got out a piece of pipe, bent it and it fit perfect on the first try. Was pretty amazing!

Here's some pics of the pipe going around the spare not the best but I tried while lying on the ground lol. And I got a vid of it to (shouldn't have put the camera in the garage it gave it a weird sound.)

If you're talking about the rear valance make a template of the right side and then trace it on the left and cut with sheet metal snips they cut the plastic nice and smooth for a great result trim both sides with some door edge trim.
Hope this helps

I went to a local minakee and got it done for $250 in under and hour, I went a bunch of other places and most wanted at least $500 and they were gonna supply me with the muffler of their choice wich always seemed to be the flowmaster 70 series wherever I went.
Hmm I'll have to check that out. I didn't really think of trying the chain shops. Its funny how when you call a shop, and start to say, "Hey I have a question, was wondering if you guys can do this?" then they ask what vehicle, I tell them, they proceed to say "you can't run duals on that, no space" then you try to tell them you've seen it done and they don't wanna hear another word! Got that from 3 places today.

Was yours just cat back or muffler back? Just curious. Does yours clunk at all? I'd love to hear what it sounds like. Wanna see if I can open my exhaust a bit before Englishtown opens March 4th! :cheesy:

Mp7 I just did what Stevesaid and drew a template, I was gonna use some metal snips I had but they were way to dull so I just found a sheetrock knife thing and cut it out with that not the easiest but it worked.
Mine was muffler back just cut it off and put the 40 series on and just started bending pipe.

OK new dilema, went to a local Mineke, they said they could do it, would cost me $500 including a Flow 40, which I'm not sure I want the 40 or the 50. I just don't want the interior drone that I know the 40 is famous for. Also sounds a little pricey to me, but then again everything here seems to cost more than elsewhere. Ok the real dilema, I have the tow hitch, so the only way to run the driver side pipe is basically under it, so there's no need to notch the bumper, but then the pipes will either look uneven, or if I lower the pass side pipe a bit now that notch is there for no reason. I also will want to remove the hitch whenever I hit the track, but want it on for the most part. Ugh why can nothing ever be easy! Is it stupid to run the tails out behind the rear tires and through the leaf springs?

Sweet Sound!!

That sounds absolutely sweet!! :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

I plan on changing out the muffler, etc. some day but I thought I'd wait until it starts to rust through.

Anyone have some idea of when that might happen to my 2001D that resides in Wisconsin?

The factory exhaust on the D is pretty stout it'll last a long time.

You could always drive down here to my shop and get it done only a few hour drive lol. But if I was in your situation I'd probably just run the pipes out the side in front of the rear tires like this. Or like on a Ford lightning.
