had the exhaust installed today and was immediately happy with the new sound of the truck. I believe I felt some improvements in response but nothing huge. Next, installed the new Volant CAI on t he D. Now THAT seems to have made some serious changes. The throttle response seems much better, I'll know if I've picked up any MPG on the road trip on Friday. Right now, I can't stay out of the throttle enough to quit playing with it. :D

Volant install. Very easy, very straight forward. Maybe a total of an hour on it, but thirty minutes is absolutely doable. It installs clean as can be and looks stock in all honesty. Now I've got to rinse the rest of my engine off since it looks horrid in comparison. :D

So I would very much recommend this install. Gave the D an entirely different feel yet still quiet when not playing with the throttle. I haven't caught any drone in it at all and the parts are all top notch.

So get your Christmas lists ready. :D

Dude, I can't recommend the Volant enough! Absolutely top notch! And I swear I can feel a difference. May be my imagination but it sure feels like it. I'll know more after the roadtrip this weekend and will update.

No before and after vid, sorry. I didn't even think about it before going to the shop. I'll get some after tomorrow. As far as non welded tips, the exhaust shop today actually showed a prime reason why I like this better. They've adjusted and slightly "turned" then to follow the contour of the rear valance. I never would have thought about doing that, but it actually looks really good that way. I may still tinker with it a bit more.

Oh and the dirty engine pic was killing me so I had to go fix it quick. :D
