New 2026 Durango Hellcat Ordering & Purchase Questions?

I currently have a 2015 Durango Citadel 3.6 with 103,000 miles. The car is in excellent condition. I really enjoy the car and it's been one of the most reliable cars that I've owned. I am really interested in up-grading to a New Durango SRT Hellcat. The Durango Hellcat build option page is very confusing for options selection. Normally the interior selection page has many package options and single pick options. Two options that we really would like to have are: Adaptive Cruise Control and heated seats. Not being listed as specific options, are those two options standard options? What I selected as options on the build page were: Black out package, trailer hitch, standard tires, nickel silver paint, black interior, and AWD. If any Durango Hellcat owners have pointers or recommendations (DOs and DONTs) on ordering a new Hellcat, PLEASE COMMENT. I'm all ears! Any comments on selecting a 2025 model year over waiting for a 2026 model year. When does the factory change over to the next model year? I appreciate any and all comments and recommendations. Thank You in advance

I live in El Paso TX. Lots of 2A and Hellcat rights. LOL I had no idea what all of those different Hellcat models were. Brass monkey, Silver Bullet, Hammerhead and Jail Break etc. Now I do.. From what I have researched, the ACC, Collision Avoidance and heated seats come standard. Looking at all of the options that you can pick from, I will probably have to get the Jail Break edition. Looking at the exterior colors, I am leaning towards Destroyer Gray or Vapor Gray. Need to see the colors in person. My 2015 Durango Citadel is White. For those that already have a 2025 or a 2026 Durango Hellcat is / are there anything that you would do differently if you could change your ordered Hellcat after having your Hellcat for a while? Are there any ordering Do's or Dont's that you know of? Hell, its been 20 years since I have ordered a NEW CAR! When the C8 ZO6 hit the sales floor, I was all in for purchasing one. I had the cash and wanted to spend it on a ZO6! Then the greedy Stealerships were tacking on $5K, $10K+ over MSRP and GETTING THEM! SCREW THAT! Now they sit on the lot selling under MSRP. Glad I waited and now desire a Durango Hellcat. I have yet to go to a local Dodge Dealer and talk to a sales rep. I need to do that soon. Some of the options that we are considering are: Third Row Seats, Trailer Tow Group, One of the wheel options. Once I sit down with the sales guy, so the list could expand. LOL. I have 9 Dodge Dealerships in driving distance. Is it worth Dealership Shopping? What experiences have you had with the salespeople? I KNOW that I do not want all of that dealership tack on crap that they offer! NOPE. Thank you for listening and replying. I need all the help, encouragement, advice and knowledge that I can get. This will be the last BIG vehicle purchase that I will ever make. I want to make it right.

Wow ok, lot to unpack here. Holy paragraph Batman.

El Paso is great, my wife and her family are from there. Lots of fun cars on the roads, albeit, very dusty.

All of the special editions listed are from the 2025 model year. Those are you get what you get, no changes.
I believe 2026 will be either Base (no extras hardly, no 3rd row) or Jailbreak only. So it's like you said, you pretty much are forced to go with the Jailbreak if you want to select the options you're looking for. .

Since the Jailbreaks are starting off as allocation based for dealers, it will be worth shopping around since a lot of them will be charging an ADM for their allocation order. You'll have to find one that isn't pulling that whole mess.
When I ordered my '23 I got quoted $15-35k over sticker by dealers before finding a local one that charged me at invoice pricing (slightly under MSRP).

Nothing has changed since '21 except color options pretty much.

See below from Dodge for the Jailbreak:

And the breakdown from Stellantis, more detailed (you still need to add the Premium Group option for driving assist tech):
Stellantis Media - HEMI®-powered 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak Runs Wild With More Than Six Million Potential Customization Combinations

Mopar Insiders posted the dealer order guide as well:

If you want the middle row bench (7 seater config with the 3rd row added), your only seat color option is black.

Personally I've never dealt with the floor sales guys, just the Fleet Manager. Which we just ordered direct from his computer either over the phone or in person. No BS, just options to select from the ordering system and boom, done.

I'm a Primer White kind of guy, not so much Primer Gray.
Jokes aside, White Knuckle is just too clean looking and stays looking that way even when it's not clean.

It looks like invoice or even below is possible.

Do not put any non-refundable deposit.

There is often buyer's remorse, but in this case, probably minimal.

In my case, I probably would not want to spec a suede headliner or a suede steering wheel. I don't really want to spend a lot of time detailing, cleaning etc., just get in and go!
