Hey,
I was installing my shackle lift and ran into a problem I'm hoping someone has the answer to. I got the top bolt that's at the frame out of the old shackle and the nut off of the bottom bolt of the old shackle. The problem is that I can't get the bottom bolt out of the leaf spring bushing. Is there some easy way to get this thing out or am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

Whew,
Last night was rough, but I've almost finished my lift :D All I need to do is find a socket somewhere today that'll fit the adjustment bolts for the torsion bars and I'm done. Does anyone know what size that bolt head is?

The one bolt I had problems with was evil! I did have the load off of it while working on it so it wasn't in a bind by folding down the original shackle. The solution was about half a can of RemOil that I use for my guns followed by a lot of persuasion with a sledge hammer. It finally came loose and I think the reason it was so bad is there seemed to be tons of blackish dirt in there that had it stuck pretty good.

On the other side the bolts came out easily without much problems, except I had to remove my hitch to get the upper one on the drivers side out. That was a pain in the butt. Had to remove all three nuts on the drivers side of the hitch and both of the bolts on the crossmember to allow it to flex down enough to slide the bolt out.

Now that I got it all back together, I took my tape measure and measured from the top of the wheel well to the ground and had a measurement difference between the front and back of 2.75" I used the middle hole on the shackle instead of the longest one since I have the AAL as well. Does this mean I need to go 11 turns on my torsions to level out the D? Thanks for all the help, it's greatly appreciated!

ok thanks for the advice! That's what I figured, but thought I'd run it past you guys first and am glad I did :) They can definitely be a pain sometimes, and I have the battle scars to prove it hehehe.
