Picked this up a few days ago. 2008 Durango Limited. Brilliant Black on Gray Leather Interior. Every option available installed! 5.7L. RER MyGig NAV with Alpine Premium Audio and Subwoofer. Rear DVD. Tow Package and 20" Chrome Clad wheels. 160K miles for $3500. w00t! I believe these retailed for over $36k new. Real pictures to follow but these stock photos look just like what I bought.

Ordered some AVS Window Vent Visors for it already along with a Sunroof Deflector.

Got it from a Wholesaler lot here in AR that advertised it on Craigs List. Title is from TN. Registered it today for a whopping $13. No tax as the sale price was under $4k. Insurance rate is the same as my 2004 Durango SLT 4x2 with the 4.7L.

Guess it was luck that I stumbled across it. Was just perusing CL checking prices on various generations of Durangos and spotted it.

Now just need to clean up the 2004 SLT and list it on CL. Maybe around $2k and work down from there!

Signed up just now for a free 90 day Trial Subscription to Sirius Satellite Radio. Just confirmed the RER MyGig is activated and receiving stations. WooHoo!

Was looking through the owners manual regarding Scheduled Maintenance and it's pretty confusing. Only one schedule in there and indicates changing the spark plugs at 30k mile intervals??? Also says the 5.7L has one spark plug per cylinder? Thought all the 5.7L Hemis had 2 plugs/cylinder? Can someone confirm this......for a 2008?

I'll wait for the Factory Service Manual set I bought off Eghey to get here before worrying too much about the Spark Plugs. Right now it idles super smooth in park or drive so I'm guessing the plugs are in decent enough shape. Don't have any maintenance records on it so can't say for sure when they were last changed.

A few real pictures. A little dirty from my 400+ mile business trip earlier in the week. The price you pay for "Brilliant Black" !

Passenger headlight is cloudy and most likely original. Driver headlight looks new and obviously replaced recently. Ordered a new pair of headlights along with LED bulbs just like I installed in my 2004 SLT.

Fog Lights are cloudy also. Ordered emplacements along with LED bulbs for them.

Ordered solid chrome lug nuts. The original capped ones suck and are discolored.

AVS In Channel Window Vent Visors and Sunroof Deflector will be here later this week. That should about do it for the exterior.

Ordered Filters and Fluids to bring all the maintenance up to date. Loving this Beast!

Seeing as I have the 2004....it's basically the 210 hp 4.7L all the way back in the 1st gens. The 5.7L definitely gets all that mass moving more quickly and isn't affected as much by hills. Doesn't downshift as often. Only downside is the gas mileage so far!

It's like Christmas in May!

Just received the following today:

AVS Window Vent Visors - Installed
Super Premium Folding Windshield Sun Shade - Installed
New Fog Lights - Waiting for the LED Bulbs to get here later today
LED Headlight Bulbs - Waiting to get the new headlights
Dodge FSM 4 Manual Set - w00t!

Also went to the Locksmith and got the two aftermarket Key Fobs cut & programmed.
$24.95 for the Key Fobs from Amazon and $65.40 to cut and program the keys! It would've cost close to $400 from the dealer for the equivalent!

I've got mixed feelings on this Power Lift Gate. On one hand is the convenience of opening and closing at the touch of the button. On the other hand is it doesn't latch fully around 20% of the time which might be my fault to some extent. I do have the Mopar cargo liner back there and there is a line on the bottom trim panel warning not to place anything outside the line. The liner edge just barely sits over that line. I'll need to rearrange the boxes and tool bags I have back there to try and move them forward a bit. I do have the 3rd row seat backs up. Might have to fold them down to make a little extra room.

Anyone else have the Power Lift Gate and have thoughts on it?

It's always been flawless for me, and it even pulls itself tight if I have a tight load. Yours may be a simple adjustment.

My main gripe about it is that the beep is quite loud inside the cab if you're in there as it activates.

I may suggest a little preventative maintenance and clean out the sunroof drains up on the roof. They clogged and the D peed on itself once.

Don't want to get whizzed on! LOL!

What adjustments are available on the Lift Gate?

I think I'll start with moving the cargo back there forward. I didn't have any issues with it back there when I was checking it out before buying and afterwards when it was empty back there.

Do you have the Cargo Cover and the Cargo Net? If so...what does the cargo cover look like?

The two 2nd row seats are "Bucket" type. The seat backs fold forward and the entire seat tilts forward. It has the bar that runs across under the seats and console. Console is bolted to the floor. The 2nd row seats are also heated and the switches for that or on the front of that console.

I'm sure it's at the same height as the seats when folded so you still have the 'flat floor' effect for hauling stuff. It's probably like the middle seat thing in the regular middle bench that folds separately from the two seats. Those seats also roll forward or fold flat, same design.

The console lid is the same height as the bucket seat backs folded down. Just like the fold down center arm rest on the bench 2nd row like my 2004 SLT.

Sounds like it. Cool stuff, enjoy the electric lift gate, just don't let some a-hole kill you're battery over and over and then charge the battery from dead with the key on. (sigh) When I got it back the dash now thinks I have a bad TPS sender (don't have TPS) and forgets what the liftgate is every time I open it. But it's not worth paying for a reflash so, meh.
