My Brand New 2022 Durango SRT!

Just bought my new SRT a couple days ago and was too focused on the dealer, interest rates and the pull a fast 1 technique dealers usually do that I totally forgot to inspect the car. Maybe I thought everything would be plush since it's a SRT and in the showroom that there wouldn't be any flaws. Hopped in the driver seat and the dealer was going over the gauges features and noticed a smudge on the gauge cluster after signing all the paper work. Tried to wipe it off and it didn't come off but thought "I'll wipe it down later" Got it home, sat in the drive way and noticed they were actual scratches, called my dealer the next day and he said to try and use goo gone to remove it and if it doesn't come off he'll see what he can do. I'm hoping he can replace the cover because I definitely notice it especially since I'm constantly looking at the odometer.

Other than that I'm pretty happy w/ my purchase and really taking the break in period seriously since I'm planning on keeping it due to the cancellation of Hemi's and Hellcats. I will say that was the top 3 best dealer experiences I've had and also the fastest, they were really straight forward no BS. Really happy w/ my SRT I've always wanted the Destroyer Grey and Red Brembo combo. Just wish I had the red seat belts but overall super happy w/ my SRT!

Ordered mopar side steps from my dealer, need to get wheel locks since they didn't come w/ any, tint the front 2 windows and thinking if I should tint the windshield but I def want the sun visor strip even if I tint the windshield. Want to order the Hellcat front lip but I'm confused about the "core" charge. I read somewhere you get that back if you return the OEM lip. Can anyone verify this?

Side Note:
Going to have my first baby in a couple months and was originally going to get all leather so it's easier to maintain and clean but I just NEEDED the alcantara seats. Does anybody have baby seat covers they can recommend? DEF don't want my seats ruined. The baby will just have to stay home LOL

If it doesn't come off with Goo Gone, try a mild final stage paint polish. Go gently on it with a dot of polish on a clean microfiber towel.

Is goo b gone safe on the plastic?

I would try some plastic polish before I used goo gone. If you go the AutoGeek.net you can find several polishes.

I'd be wary of Goo Gone on clear plastic. Whatever you do DON'T press hard or rub quickly & be sure to use a good, clean microfiber towel -- not paper towels !!!

Before you insist on the dealer replacing it...you have to ask yourself what other scratches or damage they are gonna create. Not sure if they would replace the plastic, or the whole gauge cluster, or the whole dash....but I can't imagine it being done in such a way that it comes back looking like it just came off the assembly line....

I was lucky and my dealer replaced the leather dash in my wife's 2021 JGC and it came out perfect. All I am saying goodness (albeit rare) does happen at dealers. LOL

OP --> Those marks look like a grease pencil mark. Do not use goo gone on the plastic.a wet high quality microfiber will do the trick if it is a grease pencil mark. If it truly is scratches, simply tell your dealer to replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)

Wow I'm glad I went to this forum because I was unaware of all that was mentioned. Definitely going to look at some plastic polish cleaners. Thank you to such a supportive community!
Not sure about the scratches but weather tech has seat covers that are pretty good and they also have the car seat padding for the car seats so they don’t make imprints. Congrats!
