When checking fluid in mp2010 transfer case do you just let the homemade dipstick touch the bottom of the case with it stting on the threads then measure from bend to the oil mark? Instruction is unclear.

Thanks for the feedback. I understand being level but was questioning how to use the homemade dipstick that the service manual shows This is the first procedure ive seen that says fill to bottom of fill hole. I get a drip out the output shaft after driving for a while. My level is at fill hole and am concerned it is too high in this non vented transfer case.causing a leak.
