MOPAR extended warranties

We've always got these with our FCA/Stellantis vehicles, even when it hurts the checkbook, because for me, personally, I just can't put a price on the piece of mind it gives me. But I'm not here to debate whether they are "worth" it or not - I think that's a personal decision that we all thankfully can make - but if you are reading, you might be interested. And yeah, older MOPAR dudes, I never did get on any of the lifetimes they were offering many year ago.

When we recently got our DD it was the first time ever we did not buy an extended MOPAR warranty at the point of purchase. It was due to some really strange policy the dealer has instituted, but anyway, I wanted to share what we did, in case anyone is interested.

Mods, if I am breaking the rules here by mentioning a referral, I understand, and please just shut her down. But if this is okay and within the forum rules, I hope to maybe help someone. I confirm I am in no way affiliated with the business or folks mentioned here. Heck, they are located across the country from me LOL.

So I was doing some serious OCD shopping and comparing and researching, and found a thread in an Alfa Giulia forum for one of many leads I chased. Long story short, we ended up buying our MOPAR warranty from Robbins Jeep/Dodge Motors in Manhattan Kansas. I can only speak for my personal experience, but they were just awesome and offered us the best deal on the Maximum Care package I could find. I happened to work with a gent name Garrett in the purchase process, and he was a great dude.

That is all. :)

Hamsquatch:
Nothing wrong with your post. Both Clay Robbins, and now his partner Garrett are well known on this forum, as well as the Charger forum I frequent. I wish I had known about Clay back when I bought my '01 Durango back in '03. He may or may not have been in the warranty business at that time.

I bought the Lifetime MaxCare for my '14 Charger R/T from him. Clay and Garrett can usually meet if not beat an MVP quote from any other source. Florida is a weird exception though, as they have a rule that service contracts cannot be discounted there, so you pay full price.

Thank you Don Fox. Then I'll add just one more thought, and then I'll stop going on about it LOL. Garret was friendly, professional, and very responsive. We actually sprang for an additional package, beyond the Maximum care, and once I described what I was looking for based on one package I had found re MOPAR tire and wheel, Garrett directed me to another package that offered many more additional benefits for what I considered a negligible difference. :)

We have the 84 month on our 22 DDSRT and our 21 Super Stock. I have no fear of the powertrain in these vehicles. We have had SRT's going all the way back to 2008. Our Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT was one of the best vehicles we have ever owned and in our 10 years of ownership, we had only a couple of issues beyond brake pads and replacing the run flats which were painful until we switched to Conti's. We bought the warranties for all the electronics these vehicles now have and they can become very expensive to fix.

Nice! We got 84 too on the two packages we just got, and I'm really grateful. I plan on keeping this one.

That last gen Trackhawk is pretty much my grail dream. I had an opportunity to get one new at Koons years back, and foolishly passed thinking it was too much money. I mean for me, it WAS too much money for me, but I now realize that had I made that sacrifice, I'd likely never would have even looked at other vehicles for many, many years, in spite of my being a crazy wanna-be Jay Leno car nut. Lesson learned, and I'm still thankful to God for our blessings and what we have. But if we can all be really frank here, that last gen Trackhawk, at least in my mind, was the ultimate do it all ride at pretty much any price, for any brand. :)

Totally agree on the Trackhawk. We talked and talked about getting a Trackhawk but at the end of the day, we need a vehicle to take on vacation and travel with when the wife retires in June. I have had multiple friends who have had their Hellcats stolen and I did not want to park a Hellcat in a hotel parking lot and stress every night when we got up in the morning if it was still going to be sitting out there.

I'm one of those fortunate enough to have gotten the MaxCare Lifetime warranty. My Durango was trouble-free for the first ~120K, but I had a few warranty repairs after that. At 6 1/2 years and 175K, a rod bearing failed, killing the engine. Dealer installed a new Pentastar for $100. I have 40K+ on it since, and haven't had any issues.

At 170k on my 2014 Hemi Citadel with Maxcare. With maxcare the Durango is roughly the same cost to run as my 2005 Tacoma.

Recently I discovered that I could purchase parts from mopar.com + have them delivered to the dealer + they cost roughly the same as what the dealer pays. With this sometimes I just fix anything that goes wrong myself instead of using maxcare because I can do it myself faster than the dealer.

Maxcare was the best car purchase I've ever made.

Hi. Just sharing my experience. For my 2023 DD R/T TnG, I got Mopar Maximum Care at a good rate here: Jeep Factory Warranty – Jeep Factory Warranty Online is an extended, factory warranty seller proud to offer MOPAR extended warranty coverage options to a full line of Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram vehicles.. I purchased it online, had electronic copies of the plan documents, application, and purchase transaction sent to me within an hour, and paper copies four days later. Two days after the online purchase, the plan was active in Dodge Owner Connect portal. My wife’s 2015 DD R/T has a lifetime plan. Unfortunately, Mopar does not sell them any more. Happy driving and stay safe!

We bought our lifetime a poor warranty from Howard Dodge in OKC, when we bought our 2013 Ram 1500 SLT. The warranty was sound and worth it.
