May M&G/Install Party

As I have done in the past, I'll host a Meet and Greet/Install Party at my house again this year. I have a 2 car garage to work in if the weather gets wet (ok? the garage isn't as organized as Steve's, but maybe I'll get it more organized by then.) We'll barbeque some stuff on the grill and have some DOC Birthday cake and we should even have some raffle prizes.

Bring the family and we'll turn it into a picnic. Friendly dogs are even welcome so my Border Collie can have someone to play with as well. (yard isn't fenced in and we have woods surrounding property)

I was thinking that May 8 would be a good date, but we're somewhat flexible.

I look forward to seeing many of you there. Let's kick off the summer right.

Magic is coming to Carlisle Indy, I don't think he's coming to the CT meet.
But yes, JWhirl should be coming to Carlisle.

Alright, alright, I'll see what I can do. Does anyone know of any places to stay for a reasonable rate?
Come to Carlisle instead JWhirl.
Hotel info is in the post.

Go to the Carlisle 2010 thread for info on hotels, book a hotel, get signed up for the showfield at www.carsatcarlisle.com for the Carlisle All Chrysler Nats, and add you name to the list of attendees.
The fuel will run you about $200 round trip if not less. Then decide how much you want to spend a day on food etc.
Then best of all, make a trip that I guarantee you'll never forget!

I guess we could install small stuff at Carlisle if you want to.
Dwayne's house is an install party and hamster drop off day (lets see if he catches this.)

I think you'll find Carlisle to be a blast.

It seems the entire universe is automotive, the conversation around the tent is pretty lively, walking around the showfield is a different experience for everyone and everybody is affected differently by the many things to see.

That said, Dwyane's M+G has kind of taken the place of the old NEDOC birthday parties. I've done it before and it's a good hang-out-and-yack event with a really great bunch of people.

If you're going to make only one major, multi-day trip, then Carlisle is probably the better idea.

Would like to attend but Carlisle and CT is a pretty tall order this year, logistically, financially and mentally. I already started my Carlisle fund and I really want to make the most of that. I'm really excited about Carlisle and can't wait to meet some new members.

I agree with tom, if you can only afford one cross country this year, then Carlisle is the way to go.

Jwhirl, if you can make it, it should be a good time. I saw a Crossfire with MN tags last year so, if they can do it in that little roadster, then we should be able to roll up like mob goons in our Durangos. I recommend a co-driver and keeping plenty of change out for tolls, especially through IL.

Mweed, hope to see you and, if you make it from LA? especially driving, then you sir are the man.

Mike from California will be at Carlisle.
He's all signed up already and has made the trip east several times.

May 8 is just around the corner, I guess it's time to get a list started. I'll put the start time at noon, but If we have any installs going on, I can start them earlier, just let me know.

I'd like to make sure we have enough food on hand. Also, list any mods that might be planned so we have the right equipment around. I have a limited supply of air tools and wrenches and stuff. I also have a sawzall just in case Zen needs some mods? ;)
