Hello, I own a 2014 Dodge Durango R/T 5.7L and this past weekend, we had a bit of an ice storm, and when i went to leave the house the truck was covered in a sheet of ice. I scrapped most away and let the defroster handle the rest. As I was driving into town I noticed my windows still wouldn't roll down. I pulled over and used a credit card to scrap the ice out of the grooves around the window, and everything was fine. Drove to my next destination with the window down, when I parked, I was able to roll it back up just fine.
This is when things went weird.
As I was driving home from my destination I noticed the windows weren't moving again. I assumed it just froze over again, pulled over and scraped away the ice like previously and the window rolled down fine, but then would no longer roll up anymore. When I got home I put the truck in the garage to thaw out so I could look at it a bit more comfortably. After a couple hours I went to take a look at it, and I realised that not only was the driver window no longer working, but neither were the power mirrors or the passenger side window operation from the drivers master switch, but worked fine from the passenger window switch, and both the rear passenger windows operate normally as expected.
I did some research and found this happens from time to time, and that I should take the master switch out, clean the contacts and replace. After doing so, nothing changed.
Deciding that the part may need to be replaced, I went to the dealership (which wanted 260+cdn + 15 day backorder lead time). Based on my serial number, they said the part I needed was serialed " 68184802AC"
Not wanting to wait 15 days, I headed to the auto wrecker,to see if they had one I could try. After searching their inventory they found a visually identical part serialed as "68184802AA". I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but after popping my switch out, and throwing that one in, the problem still persisted.
Completely out of ideas, I used this link: (link omitted so I can post, will add to a reply) to find a diagram of the fuse box layout and replaced the 10amp fuse in the F66 slot (as it was the only one that said 'windows'.
At this point, while I am not the most mechanically inclined, my goal is to just identify the problem before I consider bringing the truck in for service, and I was hoping there might be some easy mode miracle cure that someone else had identified for this problem in the past.
Any help would be appreciated.
