what trailer is that (i mean obviously a Passport, but what model / length / weight)? Also, this probably isn't the right post, and I am one with little experience, but shouldn't the spring bars be pulled up a bit more?

 

Got a bit of use this year, hope to take it out a lot more next year.

I'm about to pull the trigger on something similar. I have a 21' R/T with Tow Package. Going with the ProPride3 hitch, and somewhere between 26-30ft TT.

 

 

Man, you guys/girls have some cool toys to pull around...

Here it is pulling my project to a car show. The Durango's changed a little since then... the car hasn't, still have a lot to do.

 

I've been researching drop springs for the D but also want to keep towing my truck to the track. Suggestions?

 

What's your tongue weight? Looks like you are really squatting the rear end. I'd guess that trailer and truck would be close to 7,000 lbs., approaching the max rated capacity. I think altering the suspension is going to make it a less than ideal tow vehicle.

 

Not sure what the tongue weight is. I know the trailer is around 1800 and the truck I've weighed on a scale and is 4200. Total of about 6000 give or take.

 

I think I'd check it...might also want to back the truck on to lower tongue weight if needed.

 

Is that a Ram 1500? I thought even regular cab short beds were over 5,000 lbs., can't imagine that is 4,200. Not to argue with a scale!

 

Because I race it at the track, I've lightened it up a bit for better ETs.
