I've searched and found some pics here and there, but no collection so post up a pic of your modified grill. What I'm thinking about doing is cutting the fins out of my stock grill and leaving the 4 big holes. I'll put some black mesh behind it later but just wondering if anyone else has cut it like that and how it turned out. The body shop is painting my front end this week and they'll cut em out sand it down and repaint the whole thing if I want. What do you think?

The sniper grill is really nice along with the body kit
Not really my style. I'm still kinda wondering why I'm making my 4x4 a street rig??

Small patatoes compared to the dent in the rear bumper my wife just put in it!! Why is it always the wife?? :wall:
No, I dented it first while disproving my "I can't break the tires loose theory."

So it looks more like mine :?:  :bugeyed: :p

+1 on not a Sniper fan. I really like the older (hard to get) Stillens. Have the current Stillen on mine.

I think panama is actually referring to the four holes in the bumper, the fins being the dividers:

yeah, the stillen BC will have one big hole in it, no dividers. So I'm just trying to figure out what to do with the grill. typing out loud.

I'll just have to show pics. Guess I'm not the best at describing things.

I stopped by the body dhop earlier and authorized the cut. it'll still have the vertical support for now. I want the street scene 1 of these days. XJ goes under the knife next.

:wall: 2 holes from that street scene grill and 1 hole in the stillen bumper. That makes 3.
I've seen those before. Not for me, but they're around. If I come across a photo sometime, I'll post it up for you.
From an older DD.com thread, all 3 hole front ends on Daks/Ds

and the non-red ones?
all with Stillen single hole bumper covers, all with the same grilles, and all with SS grille inserts.

In fact, all 5 that have inserts have the bloody, finger biting SS clipped inserts just as loudrango described. You'll notice none have something flat as in gutter guard glued in from the back side.

There's only one Stillen bumper cover. I have one also. I didn't intend to change my upper grille so I got something not too out of line with the upper. I have black aluminum bars in the lower behind the stock bumper.

Like loud said, thise bloodthirsty clips!! Damn!! Don't know what the make these are but they're matte black and fit into the holes after you cut out the fines. The bumper grill is installed the same way.
Here's my grillz!!

what's that black valance under it? I mean is it part of the BC? Mine doesn't look quite like that. The red BC looks the same I think.

I got that idea from a Dak owner and a few others have used it. (Indy used to have one) It's a spoiler from a 68-69 Camaro. It's bolted to the bottom of the stock bumper. My truck is lowered about 2" but I got it to fill the gap between the ground and bumper a little more to make it look lower. It's less noticable with the Stillen because the Stillen bumper sticks out 5-6" beyond the stock bumper at the bottom. Those that have it without the Stillen, it's much more noticeable. Also it obviously isn't as wide as the D front end but it does span the gap between the wheels.
