I purchased the chrome with the amber corner lights and I'm getting a really fast flash from the turn signal, parking lights come on, but the turn signal is flashing fast FROM BOTH SIDES! ARRRG! I unplugged the little boxes from it so see there was any difference, nothing! also tried switching the boxes from the left to the right one I assume they're load balancers? still the hyperflash, anyone know what could be wrong I tried turning the plugs for the bulb sockets didn't help. any help appreciated! sorry for starting a new thread on LED lights! :)

Tom,

Read the links I posted. The EP27 electronic flasher module is for LEDs and won't flash fast.

Yes, that does seem to be the way to go.

Finally got the replacement set installed today and the signal flash rate is normal with the engine running (I took out the LED flasher I'd purchased from Autozone and put the OEM one back in) but with the engine off, it still flashes too fast. I don't know why that is :? but the main thing is they work OK with the motor running!

I have a question for the people who have these lights. There's not much room to get your socket attached to the lights like the OEM ones do. I plugged the wire's coming from the LED light into the socket coming from the truck as I wasn't able to get it turned back up into the light due to the design (the housing comes out to far in the back.) Anyone else experience this?

well I figured since the old set was defective I'd try to put back in the OEM flasher and give it a try, the signal lights flash like they should with the motor running but when the motor is off they flash fast kinda weird :? the only issue I had was with the connectors I wasn't able to get the socket back into the housing because the back of the housing sits out too far, Indy said he had to trim his, anyone else experiencing this? in the picture below was the only one that circled was the only one I was able to get into the housing without it affecting the fitment if I connected the sockets into the housing it hits up against the headlight frame poor design in my opinion love the LED though the company that made them should have put a little more qc into them they say eagle eyes stamped on the housing, I guess we'll have to mod these things to fit like those darn 1 piece headlights :x see in the pic how far the two main connectors stick out,

I was thinking wondering if you can cut off the end of the lamp where the socket goes then trim off another 1" or even cut it of flush with the lamp socket goes, I was thinking what would be the best to try to glue them back together with does anyone know of a adhesive that would make it as strong as it was originally? below is another pic of where I was think about cutting them off and then trimming it up.

Why not leave the LED flasher in as that's what it's designed for? The stock flasher isn't going to handle the lower resistance of the LEDs without flashing fast.

Well he's questioning why it's flashing fast, and the LED flasher is supposed to take care of that.

yeah, I was debating that, the main thing I was worried about was moisture getting into them snce they're not sealed, I guess I could fill them holes up with clear silicone, or cut off those pieces on the lamps and silicone them to the lenses? :? :wall:

did you drill the holes into the clear housing on the bottom or on the chrome painted section, did you use the expanding foam like you get at Lowes? good idea thanks Indy! I can't believe more people haven't had problems with these darn things like we did? :?

Yep. Lowes foam. Don't go overboard and don't use brake cleaner to clean off and residue on the lenses. :x

3 holes, bottom the clear section, one on each end and one in the middle. Go very slow and clean the drill bit before you drill through. You don't want to punch up in there plastic shavings that you can't get out.
