Well, this afternoon, I finally received my Window Sticker, indicating that my vehicle has been released from the factory
For the record:
- Ordered on 11-7-20 at around 2:30PM CT
- Received VIN in about a week
- They started building these vehicles on 2-4-21
- My vehicle started down the assembly line on 2-22-21
- I was able to print out my build sheet on 2-25-21, indicating it had exited the assembly line, and was waiting on Final Inspection (Status "I")
- I received an e-mail from Customer Service telling me that my vehicle was "Shipping", but since I was not able to print the Window Sticker, my assumption is that it went to "J" status
- I was able to get my Window Sticker today, meaning it went to "K" status
Elapsed time from order to being released from the factory: 130 days, which is 3 days shy of 19 weeks, and it was 4 months and 10 days . . . now, it will probably take another 2-3 weeks before it is delivered to the dealer (speculating here), at which point it will go to a high-end upholstery shop to replace the crappy suede seat covers with leather . . . probably only a 2-3 day process, but still, I am looking at almost 5 months from start to finish . . . of course, it was almost 3 full months before they even started building these vehicles (11-7-20 to 2-4-21), so the actual time to build and deliver to dealer isn't all that bad, about average (5-6 weeks), but I am spoiled . . . my last vehicle I ordered, a 2019 TrackHawk, only took
26 days from the day I ordered it until I took delivery, which is pretty impressive . . .
