Just got a call from my dealer! He says he just got an email from Dodge that there are 177 sold orders in the system that were not made yet, and that Dodge is moving things around to make it happen for all of the sold orders. He should have more info for me in a couple weeks, but this was great news for me, so I thought I would share. My dealer didn't have an allocation at the time that I ordered, so I was worried mine would be canceled, but now it sounds like I shouldn't have to worry about my order being canceled anymore! Just have to be patient for a little while longer... Hopefully this is good news for a few of the 176 others that may be following this thread.
So are they saying they only have 177 cars left to make and then the production run is over for all dealers and sold orders?

So those of you that have the hellcat and had the SRT previously, would you say at highway speeds the drone of the engine is similar or is it more pronounced on the Hellcat?

This is good to hear. There were a few minor paint issues that the factory noted on mine and never fixed, but they on the rear door sill and no way I was going to let them try and fix them as they don't bother me that much. I hear you on the PPF wait. Mine isn't scheduled to go in until June 7th unless they have some cancellations!

Hey CWgrizzwold,

Where are you getting your PPF done?

Tim Kuniskis to the Rescue!

Boys I got two strokes of luck in the same day within a few minutes of each other. One I'm paying forward and the other all I can say is Holy shit!

On the other chain a couple months back I had a post how I put my order in with my dealer on 1/23 two days after the cutoff. I didn't know orders had been shut down until I started seeing articles the following days that orders had been closed. After tracking it in BG status for a few weeks it wasn't going anywhere and eventually just fell off and my dealer couldn't find it anymore.

After that, with the help of DDSRT0311, SpecOps Vet, SRTS5 and Rich! I started calling dealers to see if I could get ahead of the listings on Cargurus. Many of the dealers didn't have orders left that weren't' claimed, but one did and since it wasn't being built yet I could even spec it out to my liking and best of all, Bryan Cummins at John Heister CDJR in Lillington, 910-893-8088, bryanc@hiesterautomotive.com,(credit to SpecOps Vet) was going to SELL IT TO ME AT MSRP. If you still want one GO GET IT FROM HIM!!

I can't tell you how excited I was finding one of these for MSRP. We had to go back and forth a few times to make sure we really could change the order and everything was a go. I was about to give them my $1k deposit and was more than happy to and then the unbelievable happened...

A couple days before when I saw the new article that came out saying Dodge was going to fulfill all remaining "Sold" orders I reached out to my dealer to see if mine counted since I had a VON and it was technically sold. Neither the dealer nor Dodge Customer service could help me. So I took my shot with Tim Kuniskis himself. I remember reading on these forums people having success with Tim K responding to their emails they had sent them in the past. I had to give try. I wrote an email that quickly told him how much myself and my two young boys love the Durango's I have had so far and gave my dealer some praise. I kept the message positive and then asked if he could help in getting my order through since they are fulfilling all sold orders now.

As luck would have it, as I'm talking to my Boss on the phone and Bryan is calling me on my cell to take my CC# for the deposit, out of nowhere I get this: (there's more)

I am speechless. I am no longer listening to my boss on the line, Bryan's phone call is just ringing and I have my mouth open in disbelief. (I have a killer deal on this thing with my original dealer, that's why I'm sticking with it).

I was just shocked. I took a little bit and then thought.. ok settle down, this very well could be his assistant just shooting this over to me. but it was still cool. Like my Mom taught me I sent him back a thank you message, thinking again it would go into the abyss.

At 8:05 pm he sends me back this: my original thank you is below his.

Wow! Thank you, sir. This is an amazing surprise. I really appreciate your help and going out of your way to make this happen. I read on the dodge forums that you have replied to others in the past. I had to take my shot and I'm glad I did.

I wish Dodge and yourself a great year. And keep the hits coming!

Proud owner of a great story and soon to be Hellcat!"
I took out my email address and last name in the correspondence.

This is just a different level of class. I know a lot of people are frustrated with what is going on with this process and I know I'm now just starting, but I can't imagine this method to have worked at any other automobile manufacturer. Timmy K is the freaking man. I also feel extremely lucky that the people on this forum are amazing and helpful. I would have never tried this or even gone down this path without the help of the forum.

Now someone go get that other DDHC from Bryan @ John Hiester. I need someone else to be on the torture train with me around the same time.

Just picked mine up yesterday. God this thing is so badass. Luckily my dealer is a little over a 100 miles from me so I got some good time with it. And I am 1/5 of the way to having some real fun.

CarMax gave me good money for my '20 Durango SRT. Make sure check them out before you trade in. I had the '20 SRT for 20 months and only out of pocket $1500 from what I bought it for and traded it in for. Best $1500 I have ever spent.

I do have a question, Do you guys recommend getting the oil changed after the first 500 miles?

Hell Yeah! I'm happy to hear that the insurance company made you whole and you were able to order a new one. Congrats! It killed me to read what happened to you. So glad to see you are getting back into a hellcat.
