Just got my 03 SLT plus with 68k miles. Clean in and out. One question, when I start to take off very slowly by just idle, seems like a small shuder in reaer end. any ideas?

will get pics soon!

Welcome Flip!

Come on?you're not getting off that easy! What color? What engine? You've come to the right place!

PS: That doesn't sound good (rear diff?.) Someone will chime in with ideas soon?

03, dark blue (not sure technical name), 4.7 loaded. even got butt warmers lol
I used to own a 99 Dakota slt plus extended cab and loved it.

the sound is very slight and only has happened a couple times. drives smooth, idles great, all seems well, just noticed it when I closed all windows and turned off radio fro complete silence to see if I heard or felt anything. seems to come from the backend.

Quite possibly the rear differential was serviced and they forgot to add the Friction additive to the rear fluid and you have a Limited slip Rear Diff that'll cause a shuddering feel
WELCOME TO YOU AND YOUR PATRIOT BLUE D

ok. update.

* service 4wd light came on
* the switch for AWD, 4HI, 4LOW doesn't have the green light next to AWD like it did last night
* steering wheel controls for radio stopped working.

hhmmmm

cruise works, windows work, all other options work. I'm going to call the dealer today about it.

Still love my new Durango though!

your probably all sick of me by now but update number 3847264273.

service 4wd light went off, ilght next to AWD on switch went back on and radio controls started working. going to check fuses and have electrical looked at if it's not a fuse.

Also, all grinding is gone in rear end. might have just been since they did dismanted the brakes and turned the rotors.

There was a TSB of sorts for the 4wd switch on certain 03's One of my friends had his replaced.

I wonder?

We should do a survey and try to relate Personal Height / Engine Size / and (never mind.) I wonder if there's a correlation in the ongoing 5.9-4.7 debate?LOL
