Issue with sentry immobilizer - won’t start and then key won’t shut off truck

Hoping somebody with knowledge on a second gen Durango regarding issues with the immobilizer / key fob not pairing with it and can help as this is my daily driver..willing to pay someone for advice as I’m stumped..

2004 Dodge Durango 5.7 - owned it for over 20+ yrs.

Battery went bad on vehicle - swapped it with a brand new one. Ever since then TPMS light went on and won’t go off. Made a post about that still haven’t figured it out but wanted to include info since that’s when this all started.

Fast forward to last week all of a sudden multiple check engine lights come on. I pull the codes and will include them below. Truck was still running fine with nothing noticeable going on despite the codes popping up.

Yesterday a family member used the car - they took it out for a few hours with no issues. They park it in the driveway. I go out late last night and hear music coming from the truck. I go inside of it and notice there is a red blinking dot on the dash board. The key never actually shut the truck off dispite the ignition being turned to the off position. Engine was off but dashboard , radio etc all still on with key removed.

Supposedly that has to do with the sentry security system on it. I put the key inside the ignition to shut it off but it won’t do anything. I try to start the truck and will only sound like the starter is turning over but won’t start up. I disable the negative battery cable and put it back on. Red dot disappears from dash. I’m now able to start the truck up. It runs like normal. But now I can no longer shut the truck off. Just stays running and ignition will not shut it off.

Key fob still unlocks and locks the doors of the truck. I did leave the fob in the truck overnight and it’s been cold / older battery so gonna try changing that but from what I’ve been told it won’t fix the issue. Called a few places that make key fobs and they were stumped on the isssue as well. Said they can make a new key for $260 but that the situation is strange if it’s able to still start the truck.

Has anyone else been through this? I’ve been digging through forums and hoping to get some help on here. I do have two keys fobs both aren’t working though but I did read you can pair a new key if you have two of them? View attachment 136067

20 bucks on Amazon you can get an OBD to a laptop plug (20). Pick up Appcar DiagFCA (30 per car lifetime use)

This will give you write permission on your car, and this is where you have to be careful. Most of what you write you can change back but why make it harder than it has to be. You'll have the option to delete your key fob and delete the immobilizer. I've deleted my key fob and it fixed my security system unresponsive issue where all my lights were stuck on and wouldn't turn off.

It'll also allow you to run diagnostics check your ECU and let you know if there are any real problems or fault codes.

I spent a month and a half trying to find a single thread that could walk me through and help me hope this helps you
