I want to make sure I'm detailed here so hopefully someone can help so it's gonna be lengthy.

2015 Dodge Durango 120,000 miles 3.7 SXT

Ok so a few weeks ago I was driving home and my Temperature gauge redlined and said Coolant was overheating. Got it home and had no issues for a week. Then it overheated again on a farther drive and my Temperature gauge basically turned off and soon after it said Throttle Control warning or something like that. I then replaced the Radiator, hoses on radiator, and added new coolant. Then I drove it thinking it was ok, but it still overheated and then the oil temperature went off the charts and I blew the oil cooler. So I had to have that replaced and I had the whole coolant system flushed, and added a new thermostat and everything has been good so far.... so far.

This last Thursday I was heading home and all of the sudden my accelerator stopped working on the highway and I was able to get over to the side and the car was notifying me that I had to shift it into park. I turned it off and on and everything ran fine for the rest of the way home. I thought I had accidentally hit the paddle shifters but I know I didn't.

Then on saturday I was driving it again and the accelerator stopped working and I was able to pull over again and it said again to shift it into park and this time the check engine light went on. These are the codes I got from the reader.

U1424 Implausible Engine Torque Signal Received
U0121 Lost Communication With Anti-Lock Brake Module
U0140 Lost Communication With Body Control Module

I know they are repeated, but they came up twice so I'm not sure. My friend thought it was my PCM so I'm not sure. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you need a new battery (maybe) with all those codes popping up. If your battery is older than 3 years, you need to replace it.

x 2 on having the battery load tested. and replace if it comes back less than 100%.

Hey thank you for the reply. So I checked and the battery is actually the original one from 2015. But one thing I don't understand is how would the battery affect the accelerator and lose power? I'm familiar with a dead battery and not being able to turn the car on, or not being able to turn the lights on. But how would it affect the car once it's started and been driving for like 30 minutes? Could it be the battery plus a regulator or alternator problem?

The car also failed the cold cranking amps test when I took it to auto zone.

Thanks

The battery must be a full and stable supply for the car's electronics to work properly. A weaker battery will not support all of the electronic sensors and computers properly which triggers all sorts of random errors, many of which have nothing to do with the others.

I would put a good bet on the 8 year old battery being the sole cause of your issue.
