Is this a tranny cooler?

I noticed today that I have a mini radiator that sits in front (toward the wifrewall) from my regular radiator next to the battery but lower. I bought this truck new, and I don't know if a tranny cooler was even an option on these. It does have a built in hitch and wiring for it so I assume there was a towing package option of some sort.

Is there somewhere that I can enter my vin and find out exactly what options were chose by the original owner?

It's a 2002 XLT with the small engine* add taunts here*

Some D's also have power steering coolers, too. but you're probably noticing the tranny cooler.

I think I have both, I was referring to the picture that shows the power steering cooler, but I just checked and I do have a radiator that sits behind the front one?

I have never had a car/truck with a power steering cooler, what's the beneift of that ie; what sort of situation would I be in that my power steering would get too hot?

Thanks for the great replies so far

"It's all good"?

The enemy of petro-based (and most other) working fluids is heat? in heavier-duty vehicles, coolers are added to help keep the temps down?

In grocery-getter service, a Durango probably doesn't *need* any of these auxiliary coolers? so don't worry, be happy.

In towing or semi-off-road service, you may end up doing a lot of low-speed steering? which is where the power steering system really needs to work? and in those situations, the PS cooler does its thing? over the years, I think the which-package-has-which-things has changed? so these coolers might have been standard or might have been part of a (probably towing) package, but at the end of the day they're a good thing to have.
