Just picked up a Red '15 R/T AWD, Blacktop,Tow, Captains. Have ONLY owned German cars for 20+ years and never would have considered American until we drove this car. It is replacing a Cayenne S which was the family hauler used for frequent long trips and a daily. The Cayenne was great, but we outgrew it and with 140k it is becoming expensive to maintain especially compared to the Dodge with Mopar Maxcare.

My daily is an Audi RS4, and I put car safety #1. Safety is not just airbags and crash ratings in my book, it's handling, braking, lack of transmission hesitation and enough power. For a car the size of the Durango, I'm massively impressed even coming from the type of cars I typically drive. Car is really well balanced, well built, comfortable and has better electronics/nav than any car I've owned. It's a ton of car for the money.

Thanks all for the valuable resources you have provided here in terms of pricing, warranty (I bought one thru Clay), mats, mudflaps, roof racks (or lack of), functionality, etc.

front and center!

Performance is impressive for this price point I agree.

Congrats and welcome! Big fan of the redline/blacktop combo. looks pretty bad-ass

Congratulations and welcome! As you can see, I love the red/black combo.

I don't see a reason to mod a car I won't / can't track.
I said that too when I got mine as a family hauler. Nine months later I've got a Diablosports tuner and contemplating a CAI and cat back exhaust. :D

Welcome - great looking ride!

Impressive response about the Durango from a high end 'ute owner. I am still a few months out from my purchase and honestly I was first considering a LR4, which I do still like very much. Heck ya, the LR4 is a very good SUV, but the negatives add up. While the Foreign high enders do offer class, sophistication, capability and exclusivity, they really cant compete with the massive bang for the buck of some domestics, especially the Durango RT. The Durango is the ONLY domestic I am considering for the next purchase and its got a big edge over the LR4 for the same reasons you state. I already own a 14 RAM 1500 RT and I LOVE the 5.7 & 8 speed combo...Did I mention I love it? Yep, Its looking very good for the Durango.

Enjoy your new ride. Its very nice!
