So last night i figured would be a good time to install my CAI and Catch can. Really easy install and I like how the CAI really brings the Hemi sound out.

Yes, this is listed for a 2013 D, It came from someone who was selling it off their 2013 and the catch can also. But I did see on Autoanything they have the AFE CAI under 2014 D

The 2014's will use the 2011-2013 CAI's. Few people have marketed directly for the 2014 but nothing significant in the engine bay was changed that would make the intake NOT fit: for what matters, they're identical under the hood.

Oh, and to the OP, congrats on your mods.

Love it!! Looks great... I like how it still looks fairly factory with the Pro Dry filter (grey matching the grey on the engine cover) and black pipe...

I just bought a AFE for my 3.6 and should be here next week... reassuring that I continue to see people with AFE on their Ds...

Nice, you going to love it. It is made really nice.

The BT catch can part numbers are in the mod guide in my sig... The Diablo can is actually made by Billet Tech so it is the same thing, but with Diablo logo on top

I have one, but it was for a different vehicle.
I have a spare Durango Mount(part that mounts to fuse box bracket) in Blue if you need to get one fast and cheap

Looks great Imprezin. I'm getting my R/T in a week and will be installing the aFe intake.

Caskey, where did you pick up the aFe intake for $230 shipped? Thanks.

autoanything.com has the AFE for sale for about $268 with free shipping... I found a 15% promo code online that did not work during the checkout process, so I called them and said "if you make this promo code work, I'll buy it!" so, they made it work for me over the phone..

Extremely nice customer service, and very fast shipping for me... they also have a 1 year price match guarantee... if you find it lower anywhere else within 1 year of purchase, they will match the price and send you the difference...

hope this helps?

Thanks caskey! I've bought a bunch of stuff from them and have been very happy. All the coupon codes I've found don't work for aFe, but I'll call them and see if they will still honor them. Thanks again!

FRMTUNDRA16 - 16% off right now... would put you at $225.28

below is the EXACT message I got when trying to enter my promo code when I bought mine...

"We are unable to apply promo FRMTUNDRA16 (16% off $150) to the items in your cart for purchases made online. Please call us at (800) 509-7616 and one of our associates can assist you with completing your order."

..so that is when I called them and they were able to match it for me... mine was TRUCK15 for the code... 15% off so you can get yours for $3 less than I did hopefully!!!

Sweet!! Glad the code is still active! You'll love the AFE. Worth every penny

Just a heads up for those buying one for a 2014 and up... If you want to use the standard black socket cap bolts, you need to remove the metal clips on the mount, but if you don't want to do that, you'll need the screws pictured in stricnines post.

I installed my catch can with the brass fittings down. The hoses come down on an angle and then up to the can. I was wondering if I need to adjust this by turning the fittings 90 degrees to the rear of the engine bay so that there isn't a sag in the lines. I have oil collecting in the catch can so I assume everything is working?

I just installed my AFE and it was super easy, but I think my tube was made on a Monday. The angle of it to fit in the TB and the air box do not line up linearly. I fear one of them will always slip off from the motor rocking back and forth. The weather gasket seal for the heat shield needs a tiny trim in the area of the filter. The AIT sensor wire also seems to not have enough slack in it. And lastly my final nit picking item is that the intake tube seems to tap the hood slightly when I do a quick blip of the gas stationary.

Other than that it sounds and looks great.

same problem with my AIT wires too. pretty tight. going to have to keep am eye on it

It does if you using the stainless mesh element inside the can, that needs to be in the inlet section in the top of the can with the O ring and mesh screen as well. It is not mandatory but I like to use it. The inlet seems to be the hose coming form the rear hose where PCV is and the outlet goes to the front most hose on manifold.

Good question. I guess the guys that use them could give you an idea but there are many variables. On a properly broken in engine driven normally, very rarely. If you are unlucky and have a smoking engine that needs an oil pan change, then fairly often. Constant high RPM operation or adding a supercharger will probably require more frequent emptying. It can very widely.

Never had a problem with oil settling in hoses. It goes in as a vapor and is separated at the mesh. I empty mine every 2k or so as well.
