Hi, I picked up my new 2021 RT yesterday and I was doing a looking around/setting up just now and there is a fairly large plastic cover under the driver's seat with nothing coming in or out of it, I pulled up on it slightly but I didn't want to break it. Can anyone tell me what it is or how to open it? I've heard of secret compartments but I don't know if this is one?
Thanks!

right, depending on your vehicle options, this compartment will/will not contain one or more control modules and the wiring.

my 2011 Durango CrewLux that I used to have had this compartment totally empty. I stored several emergency items as a just in case. small blanket, small first aid kit, extra batteries, extra cheap rain jacket sometimes. also kept my DiabloSport tuner and its accessories in a bubble wrap envelope. it was great.

Mine has two different kinds of wiring modules. One of which is a little rectangular box that can be pulled out of it's little slot. No idea what it does. But the wiring down there had one 12 volt on/off with the ignition and a ground to power my wideband O2. Really didn't want to mess with the middle screen console, so that worked out.

I just went out and found that box! Thank you. Pretty big, only found one small module box. I can put the owner's manual in there since they took away the shelf in the glove box. Looked under the passenger seat, there is one also. Popped it up and found the battery. Now, I'm guessing that if you ever have to replace the battery, that the seat has to be removed first. Not seeing there is enough room to maneuver it out. Does anyone know? Only had my 2021 R/T for 2 weeks.

You just slide the seat forward and there is just enough room to replace the battery

I wouldn't say there's plenty of room, but it's doable without pulling the seat for sure.

Why are you replying to a 2 year old thread when we all know how the battery comes out?

Up against the wall and spread 'em!
