So I’m in the process of flushing my old coolant out because I noticed that it’s dark.ran distilled water for a few hours and drained did that a few times. Filled back up with distilled water for final drain. I went to drain it today a few days later and there was some brown build up. It’s not milky. Cas hasn’t over heated. There is no oil/coolant mixture on the dip stick or the oil cap.car doesn’t get hot. Any suggestions? Thanks

2005 Durango 5.7 2wd.

As Mayhem said, you don't want plain water in there very long, as it will react with the steel/iron parts, and begin to rust.
What engine, and how many miles on your D? While you are in there, I would throw in a new oem T stat. The gold G-)% coolant is an excellent replacement for the oem spec fluid. If you have the 4.7, getting the air out is a bit more complex than the 5.7, but both are very doable.
