Hey all,

Quick question about my '99 D.

Sometimes the headlights wouldn't come on.

Yesterday I had to drive home with the fogs. Almost home and the headlights came on. Today they'dn't come on again. I tried the hi beams. It took a few tries, but then the lights worked fine.

So far this tells me it's not bulbs or fuses. Possibly the switch, but I'm thinking relay. I didn't see a relay marked headlights, but I didn't know what some of the abbreviations were.

Can someone tell me which relay to check?
Any other ideas?
I'm open to suggestions.

There's a guide

There's a guide in the lid of the box under the hood.

Some of them you can tell exatly what they're for. This is what I meant by not knowing what some of the abbreviations were.

Might be the switch, but why would they come on when working the hi beam lever? This is whyI'm leaning towards a relay.
