I know, I know...Corsa is the best...BUT I was curious what Gibson owners did regarding the tips. From what I'm reading, the Gibson exhaust uses the factory tips, but I would be interested in something that protrudes a little bit more. If any of you bought after market tips, could you please tell me what size you used? I think it's 2.5" going in, 4 or 4.5" going out, but I have no idea what the length would be, to have it look right. Any of this info sound right?

(I would love a Corsa, but I don't think I can justify a whole cat back system, if I can't tune it to take advantage of the extra flow. We have the mopar lifetime warranty, and if I voided that, my wife may go all Lorena Bobbitt on me)

Came with 4 inch. I painted mine with VHT matte black at the time. I also added an xpipe. Have since sold and moved to corsa last year. Kids and mommy couldn't stand drone. I think sounded better than Corsa but drone was crazy.

FCA can't void your warranty unless then can prove that the warranty issue was caused by a tune which is required as part of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act .

The essence of the law concerning aftermarket auto parts is that a vehicle manufacturer may not condition a written or implied warranty on the consumers using parts or services which are identified by brand, trade, or corporate name (such as the vehicle maker’s brand) unless the parts or service are provided free of charge. The law means that the use of an aftermarket part alone is not cause for denying the warranty. However, the law’s protection does not extend to aftermarket parts in situations where such parts actually caused the damage being claimed under the warranty. Further, consumers are advised to be aware of any specific terms or conditions stated in the warranty which may result in its being voided. The law states in relevant part: No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his written or implied warranty of such product on the consumers using, in connection with such product, any article or service (other than article or service provided without charge under the terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand, trade or corporate name… (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)).

Anytime before I visit the dealer, I just load the stock tune back to the PCM just to be safe.

I can't speak for the Durango as I literally am just ordering mine, but the Corsa I have on my G8 is bloody brilliant! Throaty around town, but is seriously awesome loud under large throttle opening, but has ZERO drone! Corsa is MONEY, but it's SO GOOD! If you like a more chambered sounding exhaust, the Corsa is your drone free go to! It's also made with the more expensive 304 stainless which is less prone to rust than the cheaper more widely used 400 series stainless.

I wish Solo-Performance made a system for the Durango. They do a decent job and use a Helmholtz chamber (aka: J-Pipe) to quell the drone. I have sent them an email to see if they're interested, but I highly doubt they will do anything.

Hey Boomer, has the dealer ever questioned you about loading the factory tune back into your D? I thought I read somewhere that they can tell if the computer has been messed with? (Please understand my hesitancy, I had my transmission replaced at 7,000 miles, and although it's ran 100% ever since...I'm still a little leary about the whole warranty thing) Also, you guys aren't making this any easier to not buy the Corsa!!! ;)

I've never personally gotten questioned, even when I flashed the PCM right before I dropped it off. I've never gotten any conclusive answer as to whether they can tell whether it's been flashed or not. Anytime they flash it, they are supposed to put a sticker on the underside of your hood stating who flashed it and when. I've gotten mine flashed by them just about every time I've brought it to them, but only have see one sticker added on the initial flash. If you speak to someone at Diablo, they will tell you that when you revert back to stock it erases any trace of the tune and flash history. Take that for what it is though. You may want to check their forums to see if anyone has had issues with dealers finding flash counts...

The only time the Gibson drones is in ecomode when it hits the four cylinder mode at low rpm. Otherwise, no drone. I just turn Eco off except for highway driving.
