so I was installing the Fastman TB when I was removing the front vacuum line the plastic tubing snapped, it's very cold here so that's one of the reasons it broke that and that the rubber piece was like melted on so I had to pull like a mother on it, now will it be fine if I just ductape it for now until I get the plastic tubing since I need to drive on the highway tomorrow.

If you can, just take a piece of vacuum hose the length you need, and use it instead of the platic tubing. Otherwise, you can get small spools of that tubing at most auto parts stores as well as the correct connectors/elbows.

Better yet, avoid the know-nothing places like AutoZone and other retail-oriented parts places. Check at NAPA, Carquest, or other parts store that tends to cater more to the repair shop than the off-the-street customer. They'll know exactly what you need.

Otherwise, if that's not an option, I think I remember AutoZone having the stuff I mentioned in their Help! section. Only problem with this is you end up usually buying more than you need. A place like NAPA would probably have those little elbows and stuff available individually instead of having to buy a pack of them.

I still sometimes shake my head in disbelief that AutoZone is either #1 or towards the top of the heap for auto parts stores. I can't physically see how it's possible with the poor quality of their parts, and even poorer quality of their employees.
It's an ok place to buy floor mats and tire shine, but that's about where my loyalty ends. I'll only buy from them if I know they have a particular brand I want (like Performance Friction brakes, or Goodyear Gatorback belts) that nobody else carries, and I cringe whenever I have to walk in the place.

Can you tell I had a(nother) bad experience with AutoZone today?

See this post where I broke the same piece. $74 at the dealer.

I took the broken plastic line to my local NAPA man and he gave me 2-3" of tubing that had an ID the same as the OD of the plastic pipe. I joined the two together and it has been fine since.

You could just take the broken piece to the parts store, and get a rubber hose the same size, and use it. You'd save a lot of $ this way.
