Need some help from the experts here. I purchased the Billet Tech Strut tower covers for the Charger / Challenger. Had asked YokohamaTribe how he had retrofit them to fit his D. He mentioned that you need a m12 coupling nut and m12 No-head bolt with 1.75 pitch to attach it. I went a pulled off the rubber cover on the top of the strut tower and I see what looks to be a 9/16 hex bolt on the top - see pic. The m12 threaded bolt looks to be below it. before I screw anything up, is it possible to get that hex bolt off the top so I can get at the threaded bolt beneath, or is it one piece?

I PM'd Yokohama to see how he tackled it, b/c I may have misunderstood how he went about it. Any thoughts?

If you are talking about the bolt under where the rubber cap would be, what looks like a nut on top the threaded part is there to hold the strut shaft from spinning when removing the nut on the bottom. So the nut on top of the threaded part is actually part of the strut and cannot be removed separately, only the nut below that one can. Hopefully I understood your question right and was of some help.

Yep, that pretty much answers it, thanks. I was able to get a little more light in there and I should be able to get the coupler over the hex part and threaded onto the part underneath. Jus going to need to cut the coupler down a bit so I can get the strut cover to seat nice and flush. If I figure this out, I'll post some pics of the finished product
