I think the headlights might be different. Just as far as being different wiring as one's HID's and other isn't? They also have the LED DRL's I believe and the '13 doesn't. At least my '13 doesn't.

 

Okay that’s what I’m noticing. Also finding it really hard to find many options as far as headlights in general go other than stock. Is there a good source for headlights out there other than just places like eBay?

 

I just bought a new HID headlight, complete with ballast & bulbs through Ebay for $534.00, for my 2014 Citadel 5.7L.I couldn't find it any cheaper.

 

iFixit rate = 8.5 I would not do it!!!!

What you can do is the SRT Hood which fits since 2011 and leave the rest alone. Too much headache unless you want to challenge the iFixit rate . Facelift the back was already a pain in the a** (from 2011 to 2018 = 9 hrs to finish)

How did you go about the wiring for the center taillight swap?

 

Yeah we have decided to forego that. We are putting SRT hood on it and calling it a day. We had a hard enough time finding the headlights bc the r/t we bought had the HID headlamps which no one seem to have. Thanks for your help!

 

I am doing the SRT conversion currently on my wife’s 2012 RT I’ll post a parts list when I’m done. The only issue I’ve found is the headlight wiring the 12 harness is completely different from the 18 from what I can tell. I am useing the 18 srt hid lights with drls. Can anyone tell me if they have done this... is the 18 harness able to plug in to the 12? Or can I just buy a plug repair kit and adapt the 12 harness to the 18 lights?

 

Nope. You’ll have to do some wiring. The plug feeding the headlights looks like my picture, and then it splits off within the headlight assembly itself. The 2011-2013 Durango’s had separate plugs for low and high beam, turn signals, etc.

I have a similar question but with same year components. Does anyone know if the 2013 lower bumper/splitter from an RT would fit on the Citadel? Appears to be the same foot print...just wondering if anyone has accomplished this yet

 

I'd be interested to see how this worked out, I have a 2012 RT that I'd love to add the18/19 SRT hood and front bumper to.

I have a 2013 rt and I just put the 2021 front on it with the lights. Everything is mounted so it is possible. It’s just clips and brackets. The lights won’t turn on for some reason even though I wired everything but it also might not be working from me wiring things poorly.

 

Does anyone know if I need a resistor for the new front headlights? I know you need them for the back turn signals because I also did the taillight upgrade.
