Does anyone know of a bumper opening insert that installs from the rear?
I'm looking for one that wouldn't cover the vetical supports and is also vailable in black I'd have to match the grill with the same type of insert.

Has anyone done their own? I know the mesh is available from many sources including Summit racing.

I have a line on a matching grill to replace my chrome one but it has had it's insert cut out

I have a Street Scene mesh insert. the valence insert comes in four pieces so that the vertical supports aren't covered. The grill inserts are four pieces as well. Mine are chrome and I know they make brushed aluminum. I think a couple folks here ahve the same set up and had them powdercoated black.

Do the grill pieces fit over the stock insterts or can I mount them in a grill with the stock inserts removed?

I'm looking at a grill that has had the stock insterts cut out, but it's the same color as my truck so I'm wonder if I'll run into problems trying to mount an insert.

Thanks for the info. This forum is GREAT

These use heavy duty clips to apply. The stock inserts must be removed first so it's good for your application.

Here's a page that shows the install for the valence part. The grill part is the same way but easier to get to! I meant to update the site but kinda got distracted. I have some pics for the grill so email me if you want to see.

It's silver gavinized mesh from Home Depot. Easily paintable. I cut the stock bars out but left the surround that's plastic welded to the grill shell and then cut and screwed the mesh to that. The lower I cut and formed to fit around the 4 openings and used clear silcone to hold it in place. Works like a champ! Pictures don't do it any justice. For the release I used an old stainless radio antenna and extended the release to the bottom of the hood. Bent a "T" at the end and ran it through a wire clamp I screwed to the center Grill support.
