I have a 2017 GT with 68K. A couple weeks ago we were backing out the driveway to go out to dinner and noticed that the front AC was not blowing at all, didn't matter if I adjusted the fan speed or temp, the blower motor wasn't on at all. The rear was blowing and working as it should. 400-500' down the road it started working. After dinner we got in and the AC was working just fine, the next couple days it was working just fine as well. The wife texted me last week and said it wasn't working again, I did a quick search and find that some others had this same issue and if they tapped on the dash the fan would start working. So I told her to open the glove box and slam it closed. She did and the fan started working. I read that the newer DD's don't have blower motor resistors but instead have a blower resistor module. Could this be the issue? Anybody else ever have a similar issue? If so, what was the fix. I haven't had a chance to look at it but will try to get to it today after work.

Thanks

Wayne

Be sure the "Auto" setting is off from the touchscreen menu, or the fan operation will be automatic (according to your settings, of course) and to the temps selected.
We found that out the hard way, as I normally just use the temp < > buttons and the big knob for fan speed settings.
On a recent trip to Va, Carol and I were monkeying with the Climate control menu, and then the fan began that "intermittent" crap, which drove us both nuts all the way thru Georgia until we figured out what we did.

I had a similar situation with my 2015 Citadel. on 2 occasions it stopped working for less than 30 seconds each time and then a week or 2 later it just stopped working entirely and the dealer replaced it under warranty. this was last summer.

It’s 100% not in Auto, my wife never uses the auto feature. It’s got to be something loose or going out because slamming the glove box door causes the fan to start working again instantly.

What exactly did they replace? Blower motor itself?

Had mine go out on me last year, upon closer inspection was the fuse under the hood. Don’t remember which one specifically (was green with the see-thru top) but had to pull it out to see the SIDE had a burnt spot on it. Go figure...

Wife has been having issues with hers off and on (2015 Citadel 47k ish miles). It blew the fuse twice, but hasn't since.....fast forward a few months and it's acting up again. Pull the fuse (good) and it started just fine. This past few weeks it's been more and more intermittent, so I did some looking and ordered the front resistor.....removed and replaced it yesterday, worked fine during ops checks. Wife went to work today and it did fine....she got gas and started back up and nothing.....

I have a 2016 dodge Durango my blower motor goes in and out I have to slap the Tipn fuse box for it to come back on I have taken it to three dealerships they have replaced the tipn twice it continues to still have the problem

Have you tried a new fan motor? That or it's a loose connection between the module and the fan.

I took it to Victorville motors I've taken it to a Ontario Dodge I took it to Tobin in Henderson and 215 superstore in Vegas about the same issue

I have 2015 RT with the same issue--about every 10th start, no front AC until after about 10 minutes of driving, then all of a sudden it comes on like nothing was wrong. Dealer replaced blower module, but same thing happened again the day after I got it back. They ordered some AC module, which took 10 days to arrive. They installed it yesterday, and the same issue happened. So they started tapping on parts, and when they tapped the fan inside the dash, it suddenly started working. They've ordered a new fan, so hopefully that solves things.

OK so what they told me was at the dealership is that the old blower motor has not enough coils on it so it's burning up the electrical line and the electrical line plugs in to the bottom of the fuse box I'll send you a picture The old blowers were short circuiting the line and burning up the wiring there is a updated blower motor that does not do this anymore anymorepicturefile:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/a7/07/E98ADC90-E9F3-4203-B50D-8F883EBB953B/IMG_5549.heic
