First post here. I love the sound of a V8, so therefore I want to put an aftermarket exhaust on my 2004 Dodge Durango. It has the 5.7 Hemi V8 engine in it. I really would love for it to be loud as possible. Has anyone installed the Flowmaster Super 10's on their Durango? If not what are your thoughts on me installing the muffler on my SUV? Also has anyone tried the Gibson Exhaust Kit for the Durango, because i would like to know how loud and well sounding that kit is.

I like the Magnaflow systems best, they arent overly noisy but once broken in they have Great sound.

Anything under a 40 will be ameraturish, load and get more and more obnoxious. Loud doesn't mean performance. Loud means you didn't know any better or didn't care to know any better.

On yours, the FM Series 50 SUV is the perfect combo of sound, performance and comfort. Avoid the FM Series 50 Delta whereas they are not the same.

I agree with Indy. The 10's may make a lot of noise, but that also comes inside. It blocks any sort of conversation and messes with the tunes. The noise will also tire you out more so that any long drive is a chore not an enjoyment. Stick with the FM SUV 50.

Very well said.

Another thing is all the unwanted attention you might attract with those anytime you hit the gas.

Should also mention a lot of guys who throw on the Super 10 grew tired of it really fast because of the drone. They say it's really bad...

Yeah, that's why I love my Magnaflow, it sounds nice and aggressive without being excessively loud and it quiets down and doesn't drone while you're just cruising.

c_k,

As pointed out on YouTube from like the first public comment, that Durango vid isn't running a 10, even if the owner "thinks" it is.

It is missing the cheap, tell-tale crackle 10s would have.

Looks legit to me, check out a few more and they sound pretty much the same.
