Thanks to all of you who helped me select our new 2015 R/T. Your constructive replies and opinions were of great assistance.

We found one in black, black rims, nappa leather package, sunroof, tow package, and rear bench seat.

I was certain my wife was going to prefer the Citadel V6. Surprisingly, she preferred the R/T suspension and power combination. My impressions of Raven after a week of ownership:

- Steering and handling are very, very good. Surprisingly good.
- Bump absorption is very good, with one exception that I'll touch upon in a sec
- Interior fit and finish is above expectation. Uconnect, along with the layout of buttons and knobs, is quite intuitive.
- Exterior fit and finish is very good, with one exception...
- The Hemi; goodness. I should make the engine/exhaust note my new ring tone.

Current punch list:

- The Rear cargo hatch door handle is installed completely crooked; I don't know how it left the factory like this.
- Driver's side front door creak - has anyone experienced this, and if so what is the fix?
- Rear left suspension hollow "thunk" over small road imperfections

Oh, and call me naive; I thought dealer prep included *waxing* the vehicle - evidently not, as I found while washing it last night. Yeesh.

Overall, it is exactly what we hoped it would be, with the exception of what I consider new teething items that every vehicle I've ever owned has experienced. (Example: My now 8 year old BMW 530xi needed a new clutch master slave cylinder, exhibited a creaky door, etc.)

Thanks again!

Trust me, you're lucky the dealer didn't wax it lol. Whatever idiot "prepped" mine left marks on the back leather seats and attempted to wax the plastic on the side view mirrors. I would've rathered them do nothing & me just do it myself.

That said, congrats! Looks awesome, you'll love the Durango the more you drive it.

Rear hatch misalignments pop up from time to time. Jeeps suffer from them too. My 2014 had an alignment issue--I never had it fixed because it was totaled before I could.

I spoke with the dealership about it tho and he gave me some BS that the doors and hatches are precision measured with lasers before they exit the factory. Right... which explains all the alignment issues out there. I highly doubt those hatches are become misaligned en route from factory to dealer.

What exactly do you mean by this? MY RT wasn't aligned with the back driver's side door and the dealership fixed it by moving the latch further towards the center of the vehicle. Not sure if that's the issue you're experiencing or not...

Well... the best way I can describe the sound is that there is a quiet creak that comes from somewhere around the door. On my other car, the BMW dealership added some clear tape to the door frame to sort of make the space between the door gasket and frame just a little tighter.

I have/had the drivers side door creak, haven't heard it in a while or maybe I just got used to it. I attempted to put some lithium grease on the hinges that didn't seem to make any immediate improvement but maybe its finally worked its way into the problem area.

I also had an issue with the cargo hatch not latching at all (almost left all my groceries in the parking lot after pressing the button and expecting it to latch). Dealer fixed this with new rubber trim.

On mine (2014 R/T), there is a piece of foam installed in the front fender, just in front of the drivers door that rubs on the door when it is opened or closed. I usually just push the foam forward so that it does not contact the door anymore and it will be good for about a week. It does make a bit of a "creak" sound, so that might be what you are hearing. Not sure of the purpose of this piece of somewhat loose foam.
