Folks, Here's the Official Event Report thread for our in Inaugural Durangoville JNAP Plant Tour and Woodward Dream Cruise 2011 Event

Before we start this thread, I want to take a moment to Sincerely Thank and Congratulate a few folks.
One week ago, I privately suggested to the DOC Board of Directors that we consider putting together a donation for the charity of choice that the Jefferson North UAW folks embrace. I challenged the BOD to reach a $500 level. In the past, the Durango Owners Club as a whole has donated $1000 in 2008 and $1500 in 2009 to the UAWs Toys for Tots Christmas funds by soliciting general donations year round. With only one week to go, and a small group to work with, I was hoping we could get to $500 level.
I'm very proud to announce that without hesitation, and in what's arguably the worst economic times of our lifetimes, we exceeded donations and will be giving a check to the UAW Local President on Friday for $600 in the name of the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
From myself and on behalf of the UAW and Karmanos folks, thank you to the following individuals for each of their $100 donations: skitzo.d, tomk, FSTDANGO3, Big Al and MWeed.

As everyone is arriving and/or about to set out on our travels to culminate in Detroit, my prayers are for safe travels for each and every one of you. God Speed and see you as a group in about 18 hours.
For all those who are still considering coming to some part of the Durangoville JNAP/Woodward event, Friday we'll leave the hotel at 7:30am sharp. Miss the start time and you can meet us at the Plant by 9AM. We'll lunch somewhere and rejoin for the Museum tour in the early afternoon. Saturday will be all day at the Woodward Dream Cruise. See the thread for the group's parking location.
I'm really looking forward to cruising the Durango's all in a line together for a few miles down the Famous Woodward Ave!

P.S. Of course I'll issue another challenge for 2012 (assuming we're asked back :shock: to the tour next year) and hope to reach the $1000 level once again as a whole DOC.
