Not this time. He got on it Sun morning leaving the hotel and tossed the blower belt. A quick trip to his trialer after we got there and it was back on.

Magic84 {Steve},

Great pics, thanks for sharing 'em.

So, who's the better half and will she make next year's Mopars in the Park?

That pic of your D with front passenger side door open and you taking a knee would have made a good photo with the sign on the open door. Maybe next year.

Trevor, you really need to re schedule and get time off for Carlisle. Skip MIP if you can only get one. If you pace yourself, you want check points for reference. You know how long Minneapolis is so add 3 hrs for Madison, WI and 6+30 for Chicago. Set yourself up a third driver and bring the family. There's a kids tent with Carlisle events staff to monitor and there's a Woman's oasis spa tent for the wifey. If all else fails, think Mango Margaritas and Neil's seasoned chicken, my steaks with Old Grand Dad, orange juice and teriyaki marinade, and Tony Packo's Hot Dogs. Bring your passport and fuel card. It'swell worth the trip.

3 days, maybe 4 with children. Two and a half days there (leave about noon on Sunday like we did) and I'll even provide SOME bottled water for traveling.

It may be a tall order with children, but seriously consider it. It's more than the food, it's the companionship, friendship, hanging out and discussing the finer points of the D with the slack-jawed wide-eyed locals. Start saving now. We're looking forward to having you.

All other members agree??

This morning, I stopped at the local Whole Foods to grab some fish to throw on the grill for dinner tonight and happened to be wearing one of my Carlisle t-shirts, the one with the big graphic on the back

For those who don't know, Whole Foods (at least around here) is a place that usually has a parking lot full of Priuses, Volvos, and Subarus, but they also have really good fish and meats, hence why I was there.

Anyway, as I was walking thru the produce department heading for the fish monger, I hear an unfamiliar voice from behind, "So, how was Chryslers at Carlisle this year?"

Triple take.

I turn around, and there's a guy, maybe a bit older than me, ruddy complexion, feed cap, t-shirt and jeans, clearly someone who really works for a living.

We got to talking and he's a driver/mechanic for one of bigger local farms (we don't have farms like Kansas, but big for here) who has a '70 cuda convertible, a '69 road runner, and a '59 Rambler ("Chrysler by marriage, I guess.")

We had a great chat for about 20 minutes.

Wear your colors, you never know who you'll meet.

Oh, and for those who might be confused by the references to Durango Owners Club water, here's the label

Sorry about it being a PDF, but a 1023x* bitmap turns out to not be readable. Even the PDF isn't perfect, the logo is full-res on 'the real thing.'

"Fish Monger". Sounds like someone has been watching too many episodes of Good Eats with Alton Brown on the Food Network.
That's a wild story.

What kind of fish? For grill I'm figuring Salmon or maybe a Bass. I think Talapia or Cod might be too brittle for the grill.

Tom,
I never knew my UPS was going to show.
He walked in my office while I was looking at pictures from Carlisle and says, "Wasn't that blonde hot?" I said, How do you know?" and he said, "Because she's sitting on my friends Viper." He was there with his friend and his Viper. lol
