Durango's in the Wild...

So, this week I have noticed more 2014+ Durango's in the wild than I have ever noticed before. On Church on Sunday 2 different family's told and showed me their new Durango's based on my recommendation. One is a Black 2015 Limited V6, the other is a GCM SXT+ with blacktop. Both of them said that they didn't need the HEMI and wanted better fuel economy, but they loved their Durango's. Then today I was at Portillos when a 2015 Black Blacktop ed SXT+ parked right next to my Durango. We talked for a few minutes while waiting for other parties. I would have grabbed a picture but I didn't want to be the creepy guy taking pictures of other people's cars and get caught doing it. Then while leaving I saw a 2014 or 2015 White SXT in the parking lot.

I see quite a few 2011-2013 Durangos but not very many 2014+ Durangos but I am seeing a lot more over the past few weeks. Have any of you noticed the same thing?

Heard a rumor back in April that the Indiana State Police were getting Durangos. They've previously been using Chargers.

This is the first photo I've seen of one. The accident is on I-65 in the Lafayette District, so I assume this is a District 14 trooper. They appear to have 4WD. Surprised it doesn't have flashy lights below the spoiler. In addition to the LEDs on the bumper, it looks like there are LEDs in the brake light housings on the corners and the backup lights are on a wig-wag flasher. Any idea what the black dot to the right of the license plate is? Not my photo--copied from Facebook.

Ah great, I already missed such a thread 🍻🤘

Actually this weekend I'm busy with my favourite classic car event, but later on I'll looking for my very few catches in the wild.

The Durango is absolutely rare here, perhaps every 3-4 month I spot some new for me.

But the amount is increasing - due the in the USA totaled Carfax-wrecks, which were restored in Lithuania and then sold here as shiny mint cars 🫤
But this is annother story.

it was flying
All four tires appear to be touching the pavement. But, ok...

Not all that impressed with their graphics. Seems like the gold band below the windows should extend forward to the front. Kinda looks like the graphics guy realized he had a problem with the logo and "STATE TROOPER" lettering so just stopped at the front door.

Let us know when FHP Durangos start puking oil and coolant like the Indiana State Police Durangos are reportedly doing.

Today there was a local US Car meeting in the next town - total disappointing, very few cars, compared with the last events there, although it was combinated with a "food truck festival" (= totally overpriced eats in microscopic servings)
I was the only Durango 😐
There is a Durango-owner in the next street, but he had no time today.

The new Durango owner in my village -not seen yet, although he lives on one of our doggie walk routes- came way too late, when all were already away.

I had a nice chat with a RAM-lady from the German Dodge-forum, took a few MOPAR-pics, but that's all 🫤
Fortunately it was just a few minutes away.

Today I was angry about myself 😡
I should better have taken the Durango for going to the bakerman and the grocery and not walking the 400 meters - then the driver of the unknown white 2014+ Durango with plate from the neighbour county would surely have noticed me and maybe would have stopped for a chat.

Took the Ammo Can to a neighboring town for first Saturday cruise night and took a few pictures. We were the only Durango but not the only Hellcat. If anyone is interested, there is a professional photographer whose Facebook page is High Octane Photography that takes really good pictures of just about every car individually.

Impressions from a meeting in the next town, organised by the classic car club of my village. Some MOPARs, but all already seen.

The sticker on the Roadrunner fits to our Durangos, too
