Hello,

I have a 2000 Durango 2 wheel drive with the 5.2 V8, it is stretched into a limousine, the other night we were out in it with no problems and the driver didnt notice anything unusual, he parked it and about 20 min later I got in to move it into the garage and it barley moved but I powered it in the garage. The next day I went out and tried to move it and it was like the car was in drive and reverse, I powered it out and got it to go about 100 feet, now it has no forward or reverse and when it shut off and in neutral it will only roll forward and it locked up like in park and will not move backwards. To confirm it is not the rearend I removed the drive shaft and it rolls front and back. I can turn the driveline one way and not the other. I have never seen a tranny lock up when the vehicle is not running and neutral and locked up only one direction and NO engine codes.
Thank You for any suggestions

New Problem: NO Overdrive

I went to a wrecking yard and bought another transmission, installed it, serviced it with ATF plus 4 synthetic, new tranny shifts great, but does NOT go into overdrive, pushing the o/d off button causes the dash OD off light to illuminate but makes no changes and does not shift gear. NO check engine light or codes. My ABS and brake dash lights are on.

I have looked at the list of possible causes and do not understand what or where the overdrive circuit fuse is located.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

For ABS and Brake lights make sure all the harness's are plugged in on the transmission
This also can be the speed sensor on the rear axle, quick test does speedometer work from zero up or does it jump quickly up to 20 mph or so when you first start out
