You may have gotten a bad battery or alternator. Year, model, and mileage would be helpful. It's possible that your starter might be bad, I would recheck connections, and the starter relay which is a known issue on the earlier Gen 3 Durangos.

Verify the voltage on the battery with vehicle off. You should have close to 13 volts dc. If it's closer to 12 volts than charge the battery. Have you tried jump starting?

Like Don says check the connections at the battery and swap the starter relay with another of the same type in the box.

Are you getting any sound like clicking? Try turning on the headlights and starting again. Do the headlights dim drastically? If so still could be low charge and/or bad connections.

The symptoms you outlined in your first post sound like the alternator wasn't charging the battery and it drained while running and shut off.

 

Had the Alternator tested, I came back good, I don’t think I’ll have to get the battery tested(yet) since it’s brand new. When I jump start the car, the engine turns over but slowly loses power, when I remove the jumper cables while the eng. is still on the power goes back down and shuts off (which looks like an Alt. Issue) I really don’t know where I should look now to.

I have a 2013 Dodge Durango and there’s is a recall on it. It’s called fuel pump relay.

Have a 2011 dodge Durango 5.7 simaliar issue replaced battery alternator and starter my relays countinuslesy click while key is turned but engine won't turn over

 

I'm having the same issue with my '11 5.7 Citadel. All new battery, alternator and starter but when I turn on the power is so low all the relays throw errors including whatever relay allows it to start. So the car won't even try to start - it's like the gear is in D. How did you fix this? Any suggestions?

 

2020 Durango GT my battery sits at 13.2 and when I drive it goes up a little bit then drops close to 12ish. I've changed the fuel pump fuse it was bad and it started. Then it shut down again. Everytime when my push start is pushed it cranks and nothing turns over. I have thought fuel pump but many people say they can hear fuel pump. I've done the spray with starter and that worked but then would shut down. It would start for over a week and it sat. So one day I'm like Imma jump it. I jumped it and boom worked. For about 3wks I could drive it. Now yet again it does not turn over! It cranks but nothing. Fuse is good but my fuse box got reallg hot in beginning and I had that replaced. During that process I've had new transmission and now fuse box gets hit again. Still cranks been sitting a week and now nothing. I jumped it and nothing.

 

Why a new transmission? The fact that you are at 13.2 and it drops to 12 is likely a bad battery. Durangos do not work very well with low voltage. It could be that it's now colder (if it is) and the battery is worse off than before. This could be a bad main battery so I would change that first. By the way, a hot fuse box is a symptom, not the problem. And what do you mean by "fuse box gets hit again?"
