How is possible that I turn it on, move it a little down in my driveway, and it is making this knocking noise?

And 10min/3 miles later you can’t:

Any idea?
I’m really pissed off with the tick and knock noises

How many miles on your '21? The 5.7L is famous for lifter sounds especially when it's been parked a good while. I compare the sound to a lifter that's not fully pumped up, and the sound goes away after a few minutes.

Almost 30K…
I did diffs and t-case fluid change and changed to Amsoil. At the begging I thought the ticking noise went away, but I was a fool! 😅😂

Good news, that is not a knock noise of the engine internals. When pistons knock or you have a bad rod bearing, you know the sound. Sounds normal to me cause the exhaust is very thin and that is what you are hearing (I think). Which is the exhaust gases (cold startup) banging inside the exhaust pipes and converters until things warm up.

Damn man! It is good to know that because I really love this Durango. I’ve been thinking on getting a DD Hellcat, but to pay $1,000-1,200 monthly? My car is $615, and probably after purchasing when lease ends it would be $500. This car has tuned exhaust (factory), SRT suspension and it is a damn good car! I love the color (my wife picked) and it has all I wanted on it. So, is a good deal to buy it after 30K miles at $32,000? It has all regular maintenance (done by me since day 1 and an oil report on each), brakes done and powertrain fluids done (only need to do transmission when the time comes).

Still need to get done:
  • [x] Replace rotors and pads ✅
  • [ ] Change brake fluid
  • [ ] Check and fix telematic box message
  • [ ] Replace front headlights (fog inside)
  • [ ] Fix caliper clear coat delaminated (left front)
  • [x] Change fluids (axles and transfer)
  • [ ] Change transmission fluid
  • [ ] Fix new recall (no solution yet)
  • [x ] Clean and protect seat leather ✅
  • [ ] Tires rotation (Overdue)
  • [ ] Check the front suspension (Clank in potholes)
  • [ ] Check transmission crank when accelerate (some guys saying it is the driveshaft, others the rear differential or transfer case. It is noticeable when it is in 5th gear and hit the throttle and it will reduce 2 gears down, it makes a clunk)

I do think it's a lifter sound, but as long as it goes away you should be fine. If the noise presents and remains, that is the time to be concerned. A $32k buyout for a D like yours that you have owned from new is pretty good. If you get the MVP warranty through Dodge before the 3/36 expires (if it hasn't on time), you can take the warranty out to 8yrs/125k IIRC from the original in service date.

After the 3/36 expires, the most you can get is 5 years/75k from the date you purchase the contract.
